I installed a new ac kit in my 86 mustang, starting leaking immediately. It would hold a vacuum but loose it’s charge. It is the compressor seal. I’m going to be rebuilding it since I already have invested so much into getting the AC to work. Thanks for the guide, the stainless is a nice touch👌🏻

Be nice if you could still buy the oem style clutch.. I still have a couple of the march polished covers but replacment clutches don't all ways work with those.

Great Videos and excellent on your part. Although I will point out that you are not suppose to use PAG Oil to wet the O-rings even IF the vehicle is a R134a system and uses PAG Oil in the system. The reason for this rather simple. PAG Oil is "hygroscopic" as is brake fluid. Being "hygroscopic" it absorbs moisture. Thus attracting and causing oxidation, corrosion, and rust. You are suppose to use R12 Mineral Oil to lubricate ac system O-rings even in R134a vehicles. I state this as a factory trained Master Technician who specializes is AC repairs and as a compressor resealer Technician. I am also a Sunair Products distributor Vendor selling compressor and gasket kits for many years.

My car has R12 in it, and I have a supply of R12, so I chose to use mineral oil. I have a bottle of Motorcraft YF-9-A mineral oil
