A little known fact, after I had a conversation with my State Farm Agent. He stated that State Farm does not pay claims out of the proceeds from insurance policy premiums. They pay claims from State Farm's investments. He said the reason for this is that State Farm would not have enough funds to cover claims from their current policy premiums alone. If they paid claims from their policy premiums alone they would have to make premiums so high that most homeowners would not be able to afford them.

If the state refuses to set up any decedent fire prevention, or fire mitigation, while simultaneously leveraging policies to create strangleholds on the ability to properly assign correct premiums and rates, then as a privately owned company they 100% should pull out.
