I used to work for electronics manufacturers and aerospace for 15 years and after getting fired there is no future of this sector since all manufacturing work for electronics are moved to cheap labor country abot 30 years ago. An advance economy like the US is really suited for high-end manufacturing, this is what fuels the growth.
