Sweet...Can we get Jordi's feedback about the coil he's running on the Tallboy since Santa Cruz states the Tallboy is not compatible with a coil shock.
@FoxoneUSA4 жыл бұрын
Theo Megavan and also what is the shock size, he said 120mm ish of travel 🤔
@TFritz824 жыл бұрын
@@FoxoneUSA He is probably running a pre-production Cascade Racing VPP link (they make them for the Bronson so it can utilize a coil) and they offer a touch more travel than stock, when used with the stock shock stroke. That's why he's saying '120-ish mm of travel'. Just a hunch!
@TFritz824 жыл бұрын
@jdang307 that makes sense too. As long as you've got tire to seat tube clearance at full bottom you're good to go. A few people were doing that with the stock Megstower link in place. Just over stroking the shock a touch 👍

Jordi, I own a 2020 Team XTR Pivot Shuttle that comes with a DPX2 and just ordered a Float X2, Should I have gotten the DHX2? I'm 190 with gear and come from BMX and moto background and love jumping, should I consider also getting a coil shock, and the new 38 forks?

What would you recommend for a specialized Levo ebike? I'm currently running a Fox 36 2019. 160mm travel. I'm looking at the new version 36 or 38 at 160mm. But there is just no info on the 38 vs the 36 for an aggressive trail geometry Levo ebike, with downhill carbon rims(We are ones) I am in the Utah mountains, i ride hard for a 43 yr old and will regularly do moderately sized jumps and drop offs. But do not race. I'm 185lbs, 5'11". Will I be giving up small bump sensitivity on the 38? Weight is not an issue, what would be the pros and cons of each for my situation?

I just ordered an XL Scott Gambler 920, and the spring that comes on there is a 500lb spring, I am a 180ish pound rider and the spring rate calculator you linked said I should run a 350lb spring for 30% sag. However in the Pinkbike review for the bike, Mike, who is a 160lb rider, rode a 475lb spring, am I entering something wrong, is the calculator wrong, or is that right? What spring rate would you recommend for a rider my weight looking to race DH on the gambler?

Hey, I have a new fox factory 36 grip2 (2020 not 2021 model) and it makes a suction noise when it rebounds. It rebounds just fine, however my 2018 factory 36 Grip fork did not make that noise. Is there something wrong or is that noise normal with the new grip 2?

Watching some of the episodes of `Dialed` I've noticed that riders will come to Jordi with adjustments of 1 click, or 2 psi. Do you think that small differences like that actually add up to something noticeable on the track, or is it part of a racing ritual to hep riders feel prepared / placebo effect?

I've got fox 36 Float supension on my 2019 Mega. I have a problem. There is a shake I can't put my finger on. So I knelt front of bike and lifted bottom shock and bounced wheel nothing. I then did the same with the top of the forks ie Air and setting. And hey presto the worst rattle. Does anyone know what this could be. It's not the wheel or axle it's on the fork. I'm reluctant to release the air and pump again as I'm new to the tech. Help me please lol
@Peanutdenver4 жыл бұрын
You're getting a rattling inside of the fork itself or around the crown or the steering tube or lowers? I don't understand what part of the fork you're trying to describe. Is it the upper or lower part of the fork? Also don't worry about releasing the air in the fork as long as you have a pump, you won't hurt anything in the fork. Riders change and fiddle with pressures all the time. Just follow what Jordi says in this vid and cycle the fork when changing air pressures.
@metal420.4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the confusion, holding the bottom of the suspension beside wheel axle both sides, and the top where the suspension fork meets the frame. I've been in touch with fox who say they will inspect it under warranty. I'll try the air out and back in first. Thanks chicken
