@@Bedurchens Yeah they don't come up with plans. Four prelims in 5 years. Scott is a great coach but I don't think he's the master tactician everyone thinks he is, there have been more successful coaches with more imperious teams. The Lions have won 4 of their past 10 against the Cats, so Geelong has the slight edge but let's not pretend Fagan doesn't know how to coach and doesn't know how to beat the Cats.

Chris Scott was out coached by Fagan, there is no doubt that. To lose your ruckman early and be behind by so much needed strategic changes which Scott has no counter. Well done Brisbane and the better coached team won.

Kingy was saying brisbane should sack fagan and go for chris scott not long ago, he's had it out for fagan all year. Saying their window is over for the last two years (despite getting a lot younger and still being as good if not better). He's had it out for brisbane for years, no idea how people are just noticing it. Apparently kingsley coached amazingly despite only having a good half and fagan coached terribly because they had a bad half, only difference being Fagan won....

@@Tosicc567 Kingy was correct, Robbo is like a child at times and good to see someone calling him out. I'm a Lions supporter but can admit the truth. Kingsley's coaching was on point - his players let the side down and Lions players decided to play running football, take on the game, and win some contests. He's correct, we won so move on. If Lions give the Cats a 8+ goal start, we will never run it down, they are too professionally drilled for that to happen.

Difference is Fagan came back, which is harder to do than play the first half well and crap the second half. Kingy has been going on about Fagan for two years, he straight up just doesnt like him. The lions coverage in the media goes like this, they win and more gets said about the losing team and how fagan is underperforming somehow. When they lose once again it goes on fagan. He cant catch a break

@@MartyScrogings Kingsley said himself earlier in the season defending inside 50s and teams getting a run on was a weakness for the Giants. You argument can't be something generic like the Lions won because they "decided to play running football". The Lions piled on 11 goals in the second half, many of which Giants players weren't able to apply good enough defensive pressure. Kingsley was unable to stem the bleeding with his coaching moves and his players lost their heads. That's not good coaching. Fagan left Payne on Hogan, rather than move Andrews, who's key to their intercepts and attack from defence, and Payne had a much better second half. He moved Ashcroft on ball and he started turning the tide with clearances and dominated, he made sure Daniher was left one out in the forward line, and Joe won them the match. Ah Chee did an incredible job on Whitfield and Berry played an outstanding role, while Zorko was freed up in more attacking positions and worked his way really well back into the contest. I'm sure Fagan will admit he can't afford to give up an eight-goal lead again but you can't say the moves he made and match ups didn't play a big role in the Lions winning the game. Making 4 out of 5 prelims is an incredible coaching achievement, they're not easy to make, just ask the Dogs and Cats, who missed the finals entirely in two seasons.

Example right here is Hogan kicking 4 goals on Paine. Joe kicked 4 on Taylor, who King has said is one of the best defenders in the comp, yet he focuses on Hogan's 4 against Paine instead of Joe's 4 that kicked on Taylor, not to mention his big contested mark at the end, Hogan didn't do anything close to that.
