So, why aren't we discussing her mother? How did this daughter end up in America?
@andiniwirawan3 жыл бұрын
Most likely, the mother know that the father was an American soldier and because she doesnt know how to contact him, she basically gamble her life for a slight chance that by going to USA the daughter can meet his dad or she can meet her lover
@rogerdunn54913 жыл бұрын
Why should we discuss the mother. People are allowed to have their private personal life and not have everything splashed all over public media, they can share what the choose to. How the daughter came to America is non of our buisness. Several ways-all legitimate, what difference does that make.

My Mom is also a child of an American serviceman here in the Philippines during WW2. I was able to locate her father way back 1996 but he died two years earlier. I sent our picture to the eldest daughter, her father have (He married when he went back to the US after the war and had six children) and she commented that i am a look alike of her father when he was 18. One thing I discovered was that her father named them both Brenda, as a way of my grandfather to remember his first born child in the Philippines that he was not able to see. For 72 years now, my Mom's wish is to be able to have that one day, where she could finally see her six siblings for the very first time... just one day, and that is slowly fading....

I had almost the same problem. Had a daughter born in 1970 that was given away by her grandmother when she was a couple years old. I was told she died so never tried to locate her. When she was twenty she was found alive but I wasn't told that her name and birthrate had been changed. So couldn't locate her at that time and her grandmother wouldn't help. Another twenty years went by before she located her real mother who told her where I was. The first time I saw her she was 49 years old.

The fact that she went through life not knowing her father or mother is very painful, every year she had to endure the emotional roller coaster when it came to mother and father's day. You can clearly see the joy and love in their faces, with Gary's wife just as excited it's an added blessing. If something like that happened to me, I would wake up every day with a smile.
