Nah people arent getting this. In Korea back in the 80s,90s, maybe early 00s it was normal for schoolboys with athletic physique usually from poor backgrounds to be recruited by gangs lured in by money. Some do have the desire to be educated but choose the gang life style because they cant afford the tuition fees. They get stuck in that environment and usually by early 30s they are quite up there in the hierarchy, financially stable and therefore they are at "made it" stage. Which is when you have the time and money to think about getting a degree though by that time its not really about education, its more about status being a college graduate, which can be used to fabricate his success story and act like a real business man. Also, some may also want that once in a life time experience of college life that they never got to enjoy
