People are saying, "Why didn't they come forward in the 90s." Let's we be reminded of how Anita Hill was treated for daring to challenge a predator who is powerful and favored by the establishment, and that was in the 90s, too. Her career never fully recovered from that. I also think every allegation must be assessed on a case by case basis because Due Process matters & the merit of cases vary, but I can't fault women for coming forward late because the climate hasn't always been conducive for coming forward.

I agree with all of you. People are afraid of the backlash. Especially if the person/people are very powerful. So, they stay quiet and go through their lives holding the pain inside. And some turn to drugs, alcohol and whatever else to numb the pain and try to move on each day. What happened to them is never gone and forgotten. There's always going to be something that brings those painful memories back up for them. To finally speak up and get it out will help them to try and heal to truly be able to move on.

Sending prayers to all the women, men, and children who were and are still being violated and then victimized repeatedly by the ignorance and insensitivity of others. I am turning 57 years old 11/29. It is only now, then after years of suppressing it, using other substances, etc to cope... I just had a breakdown. My abuser was a close, respected, friend of my family. Like an uncle to me. It started around 9 into my teens. As an HIV Advocate and Activist, I refuse to be a victim again. Will be using my platforms to speak up and out about this. This is and will always continue to be my favorite show to tune into every day.

I find it very offensive when they say the younger generation don't want to work like our ancestors. Our ancestors showed us work ethic and had good jobs and worked hard. Also, our ancestors owned homes and provided for their family.

The Ancestors came from a different time where things were actually affordable. You could buy a 4 bedroom 2 bed house for under $50,000. Something happened in the late 80s/90s where minimum waged stopped and things around us continued to keep raising to where its extremely hard to buy yourself a 1 bedroom apartment,.

I agree with so many comments. Their are many hard working young people. Back in the day the income was able to afford the homes back then. Now, the income doesn't in a lot of cases. Everything has went up so high. But the income stays the same. And the older people worked extremely hard to keep up with their homes and bills. Today you need help. Two incomes just to pay the rent alone. It's really hard out here.

You're not the most educated generation, and that's the problem. Yes, you have more opportunities, but most not taking advantage of, most are disrespectful and don't even respect themselves, which is true. It's a huge difference with the younger generation y'all also feel "entitled." Now you two may not fit in that description, my 32 year old daughters don't either, but yes, the younger generation is a problem. Also some of my generation is the problem because they forgot we now are the elders. My Sister's you living through 3 economic recessions is nothing compared to what the previous generations went through. No "cap" (as the new generation would say) just speaking knowledge.

@@anitawilliams9570 I definitely think you said a mouth full right there about the previous generations dropping the ball! And I agree to some point about how disrespectful the millennials can be . The arrogance, entitlement, vanity and selfishness is growing at a scary rate. Especially in the black community (my community). That mentally blocks you from listening to the older generations (I can say it's a struggle even for me) and that's where the " y'all lazy" narrative comes from. But times have changed. Our minds are not the same. Head scans have proved this. Anxiety and Depression meds are taken like Multivitamins gummies nowadays. Mental health is kicking hard right now. Something has got to give.

I don't feel King is "suffering" from anything other than "Affluenza" and "Entitlement". He has NOT earned or deserved the luxuries he's accustomed to. Further, I suspect drug use as well. Like he said ... "He's a grown man now", which means he's making his own choices and decisions. I've seen this time and time again; including with my own child. Loving them by giving them everything they want and more, along with being "soft" with discipline, comes back to slap the parents smack in the face with regret. This kid needs drug rehab and psychological therapy, along with meds. He's his own worst enemy right now. He has himself to blame because he CHOOSES to behave like this. He's as arrogant and entitled as they come. He'll crash and burn if he doesn't decide to change for the better. My heart goes out to parents who thought loving on their kids and "giving them the world" would be enough; when in reality it most often ruins them because they end up being ungrateful, entitled and disrespectful.

I wish we had the metoo movement in the UK because the system here is really not supporting victims and survivors of sexual and domestic abuse 😔 we still have a long way to go! Well done to everyone who has the strength and courage to speak up 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾i hope they get the justice and healing that they deserve and need. 💕

We wouldn’t even know who a damn king was if it weren’t for who his parents are 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ what pisses me off is him being oblivious to the fact that his whole life has been nothing but privileged.. seriously?! Knowing damn well you wouldn’t be able to get into the doors you have without having TI & Tiny as your parents!! I’m gonna charge it to his underdeveloped brain and of course lack of maturity. If you lived with Grandma it was because you asked to be there, but I’m pretty sure grandma isn’t and hasn’t lived in POVERTY!!! Boy bye 👋🏽

As far as the glamorization of the hood goes, it’s glamorized in the music. Today’s hip hop is all about guns and 🐱popping on a handstand. But the funny thing is a lot of the rappers haven’t lived that life.🤷🏻‍♀️

In the Black community, it’s almost a requirement to be “struggling” or be associated w the hood, esp with men. You’re considered soft or white if you aspire to be professionally successful or educated. It’s the same w Ja Morant; ppl that actually live that life push it onto others as the only way to be Black.

This issue with Diddy sounds like a mother issue, from a psychological stand point most men who have issues with their mothers have issues with women. It's just like a pimp they have layers of issues with them others and they pass on this pain to others, just so happens that it's a woman.

It's what King was exposed to via his parents. His dad still had that street mentality. TI was arrested in 2018, and he was rich and famous by then. You can imagine what he was teaching his kids about masculinity and respect. They raise him one way and expect him to turn out a different way, that's crazy.

This cast went in harder on Lizzo for being fat and Chloe Bailey for defending her sister then have Tiffany Haddish for her consistent antics and shenanigans. Goes to show how her likeability in Hollywood has allowed her to move without being held accountable.

I'm confused. If you all are so tired of Jada and Will, why yall keep talking about them? All she did was say Happy Thanksgiving. Why is it so hard to believe that she can't be happy with her family? And if she is not, so what. Many of us have complicated family situations and we still manage to find joy, especially on the holidays. In any event, Jada's IG post is not newsworthy (unless you all just want to hate on them for the sake of views and likes).
