I agree with the GOAT sentiment. EJ has been bowling like a GOAT, Simo has been crazy good and he just did something that I didn’t think was possible, running a step ladder from number 6 all the say to a title. This man is truly a legend.

Massive Belmo fan and so so happy for him; but you gotta feel for EJ. Last 2 frames you can’t help but see him holding back the tears and the pain was clear on his face. Classy touch from Belmo to give EJ some love in his speech.

15 majors, and he's still not even 40 years old, unreal, and he's won all 5 with the US Open being the last one he needed in 2020. He's at a level now that idk if anyone will ever catch him, ever.

Absolutely mind blowing. I wasn't expecting him to make it all the way through to the end. Although, he has run the ladder in the past. Talk about sheer tenacity and skill. Belmo the GOAT.

his balls have all been quite weird (not in a bad way though) just that they’re all really late balls, but not as smooth in the heads like the hyroad pearl. i can describe the timeless, drive, pro-motion and trend 2 with the words i just used. friends of mine never found much success with these balls (save for the pro motion). perhaps it just really suits belmo’s roll

This is the best two day Televised Bowling . Loved the starting and finish. Saturday and Sunday should be the normal format . TOC then three game roll off if top seed loses first game. Six opponent's beat in row and title ( Blue Max ) ward.

Literally 2 of the best, EJ Tackett started off on a hot one since the PBA Tour started but Belmo just continues to show why he’s the best, I have EJ Tackett as my next best for some reason, he’s just too good

Nah, I think they based it off him being the 5th seed going into the title match. Not that he was the 6th seed when it started. Because it would confuse people only turning into the Final to have 1-4 seeds then a 6th seed.

I'm a big Belmo fan and happy that he won his 15th major. Felt bad for EJ losing though. The lane conditions were difficult and they weren't within EJ's control.

Congrats on #15 and #4! I remember when Belmo hit the tour. Everyone started to immediately cry that two handed bowling shouldn’t be allowed. I just laughed and said, who cares! Here is a person that loved bowling. He then figured out what worked best for him and then practiced many thousands of games. He wanted to be the best bowler ever and he is! No question! Doesn’t matter what decade he bowled in or what equipment or even who he went against. He would dominate them all. Never been a bowler that you could say that about. 🎳 👏 👏 👏

No doubt Belmo will end his career as the GOAT in bowling. As good as he his, it seems like his opponents seem to cave under the pressure of knowing that if they open and can't string stikes, they are pretty much done.

Simonsen has all the talent in the world, he might even have the potential to be better than Belmo. But his mental game has costed him matches in the past. He let Jason's really high strike get to him and I believe it's what made him make errors at the end.

Funny thing is that Belmo has done this before for a major title. In the 2014 USBC Masters, he was the first 5th seed to climb the ladder and claim the title. Guess who was his opponent? EJ Tackett.

If you are a 1 seed after a week of bowling, you have 1 game to win. Most times you don't win. I would like to see a best of 3 in championship final round. Seems like it's an advantage to bowl a game or 2 before final round. Just sayin...

Jason may have had an advantage of bowling 3 games on the same lane but you are not going to beat him with 2 or 3 opens either. What if the #2 seed had beaten Jason? He would have only had 1 game bowled on that pair. Would he have had the same advantage that Jason had?

Cuz a title match is 1 game. Avg 230 means nothing if u cant show up in the big spotlight for the title match. And to put this into perspective tho, Belmo averaged almost 240 for his last 22 games including TV.

This has to be the most cucked and soft comment I have ever seen in a bowling video.. Bro, its not Belmo's fault he is mentally strong and his competition is weak. Belmo just has what it takes to be a champion, end of story.. EJ and the rest will never be a Belmo. This Final just proves it to me. EJ is a fantastic bowler, but his struggles on TV and in Finals are apparent.

He did catch some bad breaks, but thats what happens when you play a risk/reward straight shot like that on a tough pattern. And EJ choking hard is just tough to watch.

Well done for making people who aren´t good enough to qualify, win a major tournament. Simply ruining the sport of bowling. Why have qualifying when almost one third of the field get to the stepladder. Like in the US Open where losers can win the tournament..

@@travismalakowsky759 No need for that sir, i just find it boring that people who aren´t good enough in qualifying gets chance after chance, in my opinion it´s not fair on those players who do bowl well in the qualifying..

@@travismalakowsky759 Yep, but then Belmo hadn´t won the TOC, and the US Open would be over for a lot of players, and the PBA doesn´t want that to happen obviously..
