Ohtani is now bridging the friendship between Korea and Japan. As a Korean, we have a tragic history of experiencing slavery, forced labor, Unit 731 by Japanese colonialists in WW2, which the Japanese denies and has never apologized to this day. But despite this, we acknowledge Ohtani in Korea. I am glad how we can all be united in sports.
