When Mookie comes back, he should bat 4th in the line up. No point in going back to lead off. The Dodgers will be much stronger when Mookie and Muncy return. 1. Ohtani DH L 2. Smith C R 3. Freeman 1B L 4. Mookie 2B R 5. Muncy 3B L 6. Teoscar LF R 7. Pages CF R 8. Heyward RF L 9. Miggy SS R

Just to keep the original lineup going, having Betts bat at the 9th spot would strengthen the Dodgers bottom 3, and would be just before Ohtani's at bat.

I thought you would have had an intelligent reply like, he might have an even better average because he would once again be in the shoes of a pitcher and hence, the mind of a pitcher, giving him the converse perspective. I will never be not enjoying Jeff Passan brown nosing Ohtani 😂 This piece of so called "columnist" wrote once in a lifetime article a couple weeks right after Ohtani's first spring training and "borrowed" words from "professional scouts"; "He's basically like a high school hitter because he's never seen a good curveball," That's gotta be up there with "Ohtani can't be the face of baseball because he doesn't speak English" by Stephen A. Smith. Ignorance at its finest.
@csy8973 ай бұрын
But it is sure hell fun to prove them wrong, init? I love the varying levels of "ignorance" even from shohei fans. Like I honestly was expecting some sort of gap year for ohtani this year because of his major surgery. And I did not think he could pull of 2021 for consecutive YEARS. Like he has played MVP level baseball for 4 years now. Despite injuries and despite a major surgery. Guy's inhuman in the best way.

Baseball is still boring. They need to speed it up and increase the scoring. There should be an intentional walk zone outside the strike zone that goes 2 bases instead of 1. Even faster pitching clock, they already have all the advantage. Stolen bases can run outside the line and has to be touched with the ball in glove for an out. So simple to make it more fun to watch.
