If only more Americans were like him...instead of being upset about ppl talking Spanish, maybe learning it is a better solution...being united instead of divided is important...same way it's important to learn English, picking up another language like Spanish isn't such a bad idea...speaking multiple languages is useful and helpful...always comes in handy

Whos here from the video of him actually speaking it. As a Dominican, I’m at a list of words, and he probably is Dominican. Like you guys, he sounds like he was born in Dominican Republic.. I HAVE SO MUCH RESPECT

I think that's even more impressive. Many can learn a language, even fluently... it takes an acute ear to pick up a specific accent of a second language... that sort of thing isn't really taught.

I watched an interview with them in Spanish. He, indeed, sounds very Dominican, or someplace down there in the Caribbean. In the interview, he said he learned from teammates in the minors, who were mostly Dominican and Venezuelan.

To sound Dominican is not that hard. Its like dropping the "g" from a word ending in "ing". All they do is omit the "s" in the words for the most part lol. For example "como estas?" they say "como e'ta"

The term Latino derives from Latin America which is a geographical land mass that includes many languages composed of the "Latin" culture, *but* (now this is where it gets tricky) if we're talking about the people in Latin America who *only* speak Spanish then you have to call them *HISPANICS!!!!* I KNOW HOLLAND, GERMANY, USA, GREAT BRITAIN AND FRANCE HATED THE SPANISH EMPIRE *BUT* YOU need to learn our history. Thanks 👍🏻
@logicalblackman8228 Жыл бұрын
What is the logic here? The term Latino derives from people who are from countries that speak a Latin based language, such as Spanish, French, or Portuguese. So, anyone from a Spanish-speaking country qualifies as a Latino.
