Thanks for the great video! Sadly, there are not many KZbin-channels that cover FPGA topics. And your channel appears to be the only one that outputs videos somewhat frequently. Please keep up the good work!

Hey man, love your videos. Have you considered streaming once a week? I think you can answer a lot of our questions there, and it'd be fun videos to put on youtube too. Could be only an hour long, but I am sure a lot of people would appreciate.

In my experience at co-op and job positions at different companies, (most of then defense contractor), they all still use perl for automation and scripting. In fact, I only know of one of them looking to move to python.

I've had look for FPGA jobs in the UK. The problem is they almost always say MINIMUM 3 Years "Industry Experience" even for Entry Positions. How can you get any Industry Experience when they all ask for 3 years for Entry level positions? Do you know of any stepping stones from University or even home learning to an Industry position?
@Nandland
@Nandland 5 жыл бұрын
That's frustrating, there's a similar problem in the U.S. Everyone wants people with experience. In my opinion the best way to get experience other than actually having a job is to have projects on your resume that show that you're capable. Post your code to github and put a link to github on your resume. Check out this video for more detail: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3rZhmdjgr55l6c

Hey! A few points: There are a lot of companies in the UK that offer graduate roles, summer/year placements etc. I am currently on a year placement which was advertised on my university career page. I suggest using as many job channels as possible to search for graduate/placement roles, such as gradcracker.com. Educate yourself on your local engineering companies, some larger companies have their own career pages on their websites, which you wont find on job sites. Your university can help a lot also, they should have a careers office that can point you to companies. You can also attempt to apply for jobs asking if they would accept a graduate, they may just say yes (there is no harm in asking!) Good luck!

They seem to be able to get Indians with 3-5 years experience in the industry to accept entry level salaries, that's what they are doing. Witnessed companies doing it en-masse.

@@Nandland a video about getting a job in usa would be great, I know you don't have experience with that but it would be great if you could get in touch with people that could share their experiences , also a video for recent graduetes.

Hello. I recently got interested in FPGAs, VHDL and Verilog. Please do a Video that would help interested people. Please do a video on how someone would go from Zero knowledge to at least an intermediate level of understanding on the Material. Especially for people who want to do Freelancing Jobs. I am currently reading a book called Introduction to Digital Systems design by Guiliano Donzellini. Am I on the right track?

I graduated from my University in December 2018 (Computer Engineering). Since then, Ive been applying and having interviews for FPGA jobs in US. I just don't get a final offer. I am looking for ways to promote me better such things like certifications or home projects. Could you give me some advices? Edit: I watched your resume video. It was very helpful. I should make a GitHub account.

Definitely finished home projects are absolute must. I sometimes conduct job interviews for software positions, and will never any student/individual with 0 experience get to me if he/she has no finished home projects. HR would ask them for a link and in 10 minutes I get understanding if the individual is worth speaking with,
