The color of the box is also the color that the film develops, if the box is blue means the tones will be cooler if the color of the box is yellow means it’s warmer, and when the box was pink means the greens are switched to purple. Also the number means de ISO, so 600 has an ISO of 600 which let the film more open to receive light, so that’s why the photos were brighter and cooler.

Seriously??? Thought they say they're exactly the same film.

Hey, this is just misinformation. I type and 600 film are actually ISO 640. And the colour of the film box determines what film you’re going to get. Blue is 600, Yellow is I type, and Red is SX-70. I type and 600 are chemically identical but I type doesn’t have the battery.

@@Iced_Tea200 it’s not misinformation. None cares if it’s 600 or 640. Also the color on the box it’s the color settings on the film, that’s why there’s I type yellow and 600 yellow. You’re new to film don’t worry, buy them and compare you’ll see the difference. Also if you buy a grey box you’ll get B&W film.
@Iced_Tea200 Жыл бұрын
@@ZombieBunny it’s still wrong, yes the grey boxes are black and white. But I type is yellow and 600 is blue most of the time. Besides, some versions of the boxes come with rainbows on them. Does that mean they’re rainbows?? No no it doesn’t. I’m not sure who you’re trying to fool here but you’re just gonna make someone buy the wrong film.

Are you thinking of duo-chrome yellow and duo-chrome green and duo-chrome blue??? Because those are special films that specifically change the colour of your photo. Also not available as I-Type because manufacturing them as 600 is easier. Also if there really were versions with slight tints. Why does the official Polaroid online store only sell one normal variation at a time. I mean come on man you don’t have to gaslight me into thinking there’s a secret fancy film type.

Thank you both - finally a video that compared the two and answered my question. I had a suspension off the bat the 600 with battery included pack would work better. Theory being the internal battery taking away from the flash as opposed to 600 film with the batter included. From what I gathered - I think the 600 film would do better shooting outside during the day and I type better shooting inside.

this wasn’t helpful at all. You don’t indicate which film is what

i hope when editing in post you can put text to indicate which one is i type and which one is 600. when you say "yours is brighter" it wasn't clear to me which camera it is without going back to search that link related who's using which camera

That's what I'm saying. They managed to make a 6 minute long video talking about everything beside the film itself and which is which. I had to pause the video and look at the boxes and see which was which lol

Was pretty obvious to me, 600 right, I-type left. He said multiple times the 600 looks more pink, you can see which one looks more pink.

What will happen if I use intax mini film in this Polaroid now camera?? I have this camera and needed to know about it so please reply
@FramesPerSecond Жыл бұрын
It won’t work. You need the right film for it. Instax cartridges don’t fit Polaroid cameras. You need to get Polaroid film for them.

I find Polaroid film so hit and miss (probably user error) I have a refurbished sx-70 that uses 600film. But I keep going back over instax because when it’s good it’s GOOOD 😂 some of my fave photos are Polaroids

I’ve shot 7 packs of the 600 in the last year and have gotten good to great results from it. Can’t say the same for the sx-70 and I-type I’ve tried though😬

I remember reading that 600 type film, aside from the battery pack also has an ISO of 600 while i-type film has an ISO of 100. I don’t know if that’s factual though. Did you find that anywhere in your research or experience?
@therestorationofdrwho18652 жыл бұрын
The box for i-Type film states that it’s 640ASA.

If you haven't had an answer yet, at least on my camera, there's a little button that has the typical flash symbol. On my polaroid now camera it's next to the on/off button, so yours could be in a different place
