Hi Regarding the setup - what prop do you use with this setup? Does the setup tend towards efficiency, speed, or a balance between the two? How’s the power characteristics ?

Use hqprop 7x4.5 with 4s, it gives me a good cruise efficiency, top speed around 180 kmh and peak current ~50A. it means ~800w Cruise current around 6-9A depends of number and type of battery: lipo or liion

Why do you use such a high amp esc? That setup will draw no where near 80 amps unless you drop in a 6s

i made this plane for 4s/6s but usually use 4s (50a max) lightweight 80a esc is the best what a could buy and feel confidence that it will not burn at full throttle when climbing

The higher the voltage the less amps drawn, so if you're pulling Max 50 amps on a 4S battery you put in a 6S you're going to pull less amps

@@devilsreject78that is true if the power consumption on 6s is the same as 4s but to achieve this you would need a smaller propeller on 6s. If you ran the same propeller as you did on the 4s the amps draw will be higher on 6s and you’d have a lot more power.
