Current FPV and Head-tracker vendors make people jump through hoops to set one up. Wish Motion can offer an HT FPV all-in-one plug and play solution - including pan and tilt gimbals (small enough to fit tight cockpits).

Alpha MRC With the right head-tracker setup, ie. 1:1 camera to head movement, it’s completely natural to look ahead into direction of turn - just like full scale flying! I like how the major looks to the side during loops to check pitch orientation once horizon move below cockpit.

Agree. I do that all the time on my FPV Su-35 to make sure I have a mental position of where I am relative to the runway at all times. Particularly important if there are no-fly zones in the clubs where you operate which is more the norm than the exception ;)

I've been flying FPV planes for a couple of years now, it's supergreat. Tilt added to pan for camera is not per se necessary but makes it even more realistic. There's a little button on the headtracker so you can reset before the start to your "level" head position.

I’ve seen a few people do FPV on both prop and EDF birds. One of the most impressive is still the 8-year-old video of someone’s Eurofighter Typhoon which sadly ended in a crash. I cannot tell you how badly I would like to see more large RC planes/jets that are sized for people who want to put pan/tilt setups in the cockpits for the most immersive experience!

Joes were 12 inches tall and the closest thing to a RC airplane was that POS COX on string that you spun around until you got dizzy. Awesome video, love the accuracy of your flying at FPV, can't help but notice you have hooked up your runcam to the BEC voltage. I recommend wiring into your flight battery, so you can see when you need to come home. That's what I do, just haven't EDFed yet.

Alpha MRC High definition FPV or bust. Really hard to tell what buddy plane is doing with low res analog setup. And wireless Head Tracker in the goggles, either connected via blue tooth to TX or transmit directly to vtx/air unit on-board. And small pan & tilt camera mount to fit in small cockpit.

Very cool! I just purchased another canopy for my Viper that I am converting to a DJI HD system. I was going to get a FS Trinity 3 axis head tracker module but I am interested how the Major was able to look side to side. Couldn't tell in the video but was he using a turn knob? Seem like that would be difficult to do while flying? I have seen mods on some radio's where they put a stick or roller on the backside of the radio.

Awesome! I fly my Freewing F14 Tomcat FPV...used to fly analogue like this but recently switched to DJI digital and MAN WOW! My F-14 also fires missiles (model rockets mounted on pylons and activated using a Turnigy receiver switch). Must get my act together and record and upload a video.

What kind of head tracker were you using? I didn't see a cable running from your goggles to your transmitter, was it some kind of wireless set up? I saw where you said your pan servo was plugged into the plane's receiver, so I assume it must be going through your transmitter somehow. I have a pair of goggles that doesn't have a head tracker built in so I'm trying to determine the best way to do it.

I’m using fatshark focal V2 that were made to wirelessly bind with Spektrum radios. It does away with the wire but the system isn’t perfect, and it loses connection from time to time but it is nice to have no physical connection.

You will need a pan and tilt mechanism (google it). Then you would want goggle that allow head tracking. That links up to the pan and tilt so when you move your head the camera moves with you. We will eventually carry these types of items but google is your best friend at the moment

I am gonna modify my Freewing F14 with a Runcam in the campod underneath the nose, just like the pod of the real F14. Then an airspeed sensor, variometer connected with the OSD input of the camsystem to display airspeed and altitude on the video footage. And the best thing about the Runcam, its the Split version which sends video on 5.8ghz to the receiver but also records in FullHD on the onboard sd card.

I would eliminate the canopy rails in the front, they block the forward view way to much 😣😣😣 Having a single piece, clear canopy would improve the FPV experience of this plane so much more. Who cares if it was a little less scale, a clear canopy would make this experience 100 % better.

Like I said earlier that I have flown my jets Fpv and the head tracking modules for fat sharks seem to be difficult to find now a days. So, I recommend anyone seriously considering doing this and own fat sharks,start looking now for the head tracking module. This is a great experience but it still doesn’t replace the old fashion LOS flying as far as my experiences.

@@racerx600rr airspeed, flap position would be good. A landing gear indicator could just be a green LED on the dash in front of the camera in the field of view. A large antenna embedded in the vertical tail fin on the aircraft and an external antenna jack for head unit too l'm thinking.

@@racerx600rri don't know how you'd exactly do it, but the airspeed indicator should actually read the indicated airspeed of the plane like in a real plane. Using a gps is no good. It kinda needs to work off dynamic pressure like a real plane so you can actually control the speed of the plane regardless of what the wind is doing. This way you can land using the 'numbers' and know when to expect a stall and what speed to flare.

@@MotionRC it's awesome! I'm yet to put one in an EDF but it works great in everything else. BTW love that you have a additional heli/drone field. If i took my fpv drone stuff to our AMA field the guys would chase me out instantly. Very frowned upon here. 🤷♂️. Great video!
