Mate, unbelievable. This is the most impressive proximity FPV I've seen anywhere on the tube. And I've wasted a lot of time looking!
@labcopilot12 жыл бұрын
Watched again. Just when I thought I was getting proficient at flying my quad, I see your videos and I realize what an amateur I really am. You set the bar extremely high.
@JWPhoto1312 жыл бұрын
Simply THE best FPV pilot! Makes everything I've shot to date so pedestrian...I'm still trying to get a feel for the distance relationship of flying and the wide angle perspective of my fpv camera. When I think that I'm close to the ground I find that I'm higher than expected and vice versa, mainly I'm not ready to make any high speed videos at this time. I don't want to find my HT-FPV stuck in a treetop just yet. As always you inspire and kick ass! Looking forward to the next flight.

Justin, you inspire me and make me green with jealously. You're videos are such a wild fantasy. Hope that I'll be successful with quads sometime soon.

thanks mate. Not using 5.8. Never used a Naza, so can't comment. CopterControl, CC3D and the revolution are very easy to set up and fly. Best of luck.

Juz, Locked in and not tuned - man you have some confidence in your airframe and Op Board! It looks like its on rails! Now I hope there will be a "fly like Juz" button in the next GCS release :D
I use a crosshair and skew planar wheel on my GS now. Don't want or need the complexity and weight of an antenna tracker. Range is no big deal, as I am not going that far away from myself.

A good frame can help with vibes and jello. QAV500 or QAV400 can do this. Openpilot forums are great for more info on this hobby.
similar set to mine. The difference (and problem) is your FOV. I use a 3.6mm lens that provides about a 90 degree view. Better for seeing those small branches etc.
@Techster10012 жыл бұрын
Loved the fence post. Flyin right along with you. Would have guessed left. Up faked me right out, put a kink in me neck while I was watching. I don't think anyone would mind if you shared the other 4 packs you flew :) Thanks for sharing, glad I'm a subscriber.

U own the incredible sense of flying. Beautiful movements, nice, easy behavior. Btw, U should upload a crash video too...:) (Hope u don't have much...) Actually, I wanna start the quad fpv project now, with a TBS Discovery, but the first takeoff was really weird...:S
@JurekOK12 жыл бұрын
For that particular prop/motor combination in that blog, the optimal loading is 220-280 grams per motor. Let me know if you want your prop/motor characterized!
@juz7012 жыл бұрын
go high ... pop the throttle and get the machine into a climb, start the flip while backing off the throttle... regain level and return the power to catch the quad. Just go for it, you'll be surprized how easy it really is.

Hey Juz, your videos are the sole reason I chose the QAV, and I absolutely love it. My cc3d just came in and due to my lack of experience I just cant quite seem to get my settings locked in, Id really really appreciate if you could share your settings with a beginner! Thanks in advance
@obooth12 жыл бұрын
Awesome dude, be interesting to compare this with the APM2. Tell me, do ya think the CC settings you have up on your website for the HT-FPV (remember, that ol' thing?) will translate to the CC3D too?

well, actually, there is a 'optimal' quad weight for a given prop/motor combination, that gives you best, symmetric response. Take a look at my dynamic response measurements on my blog: OP forum -> Blogs -> Jurek -> First measurements

Thanks for the entertainment juz! I find it difficult to spot obstacles in time when flying fast, maybe wrong camera settings and/or bad equipment (PZ0420 cam, 170 degree lens, 800mW 1.3GHz with clovers, fatshark base). Feed is good. What is your video setup and settings?

So I fly helicopters for a living but am new to rc. Just bought a scorpion Y650 (Y6) and preordered a CC3D. Your video's are so much smoother than others I've seen. Do you have the GOPRO directly mounted? How do you get rid of vibrations and bumps? Any advice or reference to other forums is much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
