I got more from this video than 10 hours of practice on my own. Thank you

this is killer advice. thanks. in 10 minutes of practicing what you're saying while watching the video i've made more progress than who knows how many hours of trying to figure it out on my own

the looking at the base of the object you're turning around is what really did it for me

Nice tutorial with no bullshit and just enough necessary detail.

Great tutorial, thank you. I've watched a few others and they also mention being aggressive but never mentioned where you should be looking and when you should be starting your turn, as you broke it down. I will now be able to properly analyze what I'm doing and applying these 3 steps👍🏻

I sort of had that ah ha moment with fast sharp turns last night in the sim. But now I know why occasionally they don't go as precise as I'd like. Thanks for breaking down some really sensical points and their effects.

This has helped a ton. As a noob, this has been the most helpful exercise I’ve run into. Other beginner exercises don’t require the precision. So this is just an observation that’s helped me troubleshoot things: Too much roll, not enough yaw = you’ll drop your height and bump the ground during the turn Not enough roll, too much yaw = you’ll come out rising higher It seems the best balance is where you keep your elevation and momentum as constant as possible. It would also seem that if you come into a turn too low, more yaw will help you get back up to a good level, etc.

I have flown FPV for a while now and am ok with freestyle but always not been confident with race gates etc, this video has made a massive difference in my flying thank you so much for making it. Really well explained and put to us the viewer. Keep up the good work :)

Very helpful, I've watched quite a few videos and this is the first one that's pointed out that you want to be focusing downward toward the base of your turn. It makes so much more sense now, thankyou.

Any chance you could make a tut on how to go through a gate and immediately do a 180 into another gate beside it going the opposite direction? I always have to go 15 ft through the first one before i can stop and go back through the second
@Danimal-3D6 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Yeah I've got a couple tips for ya -- 1) Slow your quad down -- in the technical areas, you'll go faster overall if you just slow down and make tighter turns. This will also help you not overshoot from one gate to the next. 2) Anticipate the turn into the next gate. Actually start yaw'ing through the 1st gate to point yourself to the next one. This will help line you up to the next gate. Again -- slowing down will help a lot. 3) Practice lots-- I've made a track for you in Velocidrone titled: "180practice" in the Football stadium. Go ahead and download it to practice. Happy flying and God bless ya.

A7mads you can find this one in the stock maps of Velocidrone. It’s called Split-S Reverse. The gates will be setup but the path I’m flying in the video doesn’t match how the track is meant to be run. Do you can just use the map to fly thru the gates without running the race

I’m finding that racing through gates is much easier than freestyle is that something normal ? Thought its the other way around.. been flying drones before but new to fpv, but seeing my self better on racing is making me think to focus on racing.. thoughts ?
@Danimal-3D5 жыл бұрын
A7mads yeah usually hitting gates is more difficult - sounds like you’re going to be a good racer!

Danimal FPV ohh well i wanted to initially do some freestyle not going through flags and pylons lol.. will try freestyle on sim more maybe i didn’t give freestyle lots of time yet mostly doing flags
