thank you for having a queer muslim on and giving room for his history. this representation means so much to me. and to carlos may Allah swt make you firm upon His path. being queer is a blessing from Allah swt, the test is for others how they will treat us and for us if we turn to Him in hardship or turn away

Being queer is not a blessing from God. It is confusing, and makes one feel shameful and alone and scared. One would rather not feel this way. Fighting against your honest and “natural” desire is hard, especially if they aren’t natural in the grand scheme of things. Denying yourself is hard but one person makes it easy. Jesus Christ. Come to him, for his yoke is easy and his burden is light. You will find rest for your soul in him and he will remove the lust spirit, sexual perversion spirit, and homosexuality spirit from you. You will be free for whom the son sets free is free indeed. When alone, when you are weary of the yoke of being queer or anyway that is burdening you and you seek freedom from what is oppressing you, call on his name and humbly, honestly express your desire. He will grant it for you. You have more than my word you have his. Let it be know Jesus Christ is the one true, living God. No one else compares. Try him and see for yourself. God bless whoever needed this. May you Seek him and find him. In Jesus name, amen.

So glad I watched this! I'm loving the variety of guests. Each episode has it's gems in it's own way! Carlos is so well spoken and I can't believe they gave him 9 years for a bar fight. I said it before and I'll say it again.....no matter how progressive and "liberal" New York claims to be, it is one of the most racist places in our country.

Glad I found this page and now a new subbie. From Leyna Bloom to Carlos Ebony-great interviews. When I see him , I think of Jihad Ebony (RIP). Even though I was never in ballroom when I came out in 1991 NYC Golden era, Ballroom was around me so I knew many in Ballroom at that time. The house of Ebony as a whole represented to me I can still be a masculine gay Black man and be remain real. Glad to know Carlos is still in one piece and speaking his truth.

thank you so much for these podcasts, i ve been watching the past few weeks and the more i go on the more you tackle subjects that are so important. being the trailblazers of the Greek ballroom, a predominantly white scene so far, these topics are so valuable for all of us to be discussed, but also as white people who want to be aware of what white heteoropatriarchal institutions do to oppressed bodies. thank you so much, keep talking and educating 💛

It's so upsetting that someone can receive nine years just for defending themselves and then be subjected to a distorted narrative, as if they were being discriminatory towards others in the LGBT community when they are actually a part of it. This is terrifying, but at least he shared his side of the story, which was definitely emotional and brought some tears.😢

54:47 Lord have mercy. He did all that time for nothing. This is a true testament to how media and clips can be detrimental and not fact worthy without a true account of what happened. They said he was gay bashing but he is gay himself. 10 years in a maximum prison for a chair?! Talk about angry! I am upset AF for him and all the ppl who get f%#*ed by the court system.

Ladies I’ve watched three episodes from season one and watching this one makes my third one for season two, and It’s beyond imperative for me to acknowledged that this interview with Carlos Ebony And Leyna Bloom is your best two by far imo. I say this because both Leyna Bloom and Carlos Ebony dropped so many pearls of wisdom that can be used to empower the American Black LGBTQ+ community. I want to say thank you Carlos for sharing your story because it causes me to reflect on my blessings and realize the importance of speaking up for the betterment of our black American community as a whole ✊🏾 Carlos Ebony thank you for having the backs of The Dolls 🏳️⚧️ and may you get reparations, healing, and the support you deserve from the system and the black LGBTQ+ community 🤲🏿 Also, it’s commendable that you acknowledge your spiritual beliefs being a Muslim ☪️ and a part of the Queer community 🏳️🌈 because it’ll inspire so many others to step up and speak their truth. Congratulations Ladies the extraordinary hostesses of FQ Crazy, Sexy, Cool May y’all continue to step into greatness and continue blessings in all y’all endeavors 🤲🏿 Thank you to the wonderful crew, producers, and those behind the scenes that help to bring this show to fruition 🙏🏾 Wow, this man is bringing tears of joy to my eyes for how he’s speaking of affirming the Black American Trans community 👌🏾 He’s Amazing 👏🏾!!!!!!
