Ευλογειτε Πατερ, Ο ζηλος και η δυναμικη του λογου σας μας εμπνεει πολυ! Καταλαβαινω αγγλικα αλλα δεν θα τολμουσα να γραψω. Γιαυτο σας γραφω στα ελληνικα. Σας στελνω το μηνυμα μου απο Ελλαδα. Ο Αγιος βοηθησε και βοηθα την οικογενεια μου και εμενα εδω και πολυ καιρο. Τον αγαπαμε πολυ και μας εμπνεει στην ζωη μας. Ο αδερφος μου ζει στην Αμερική απο 17 χρονων τωρα ειναι σχεδον 50 . Η γυναικα του βαφτιστηκε ορθοδοξη και τα 2 παιδια του τα βαφτησαμε εδω Ελλαδα. Εχασαν ομως την επαφη τους με την Ορθοδοξια και τον τροπο ζωης του Χριστιανου, και εγω απο εδω Ελλαδα ειναι δυσκολο να βοηθησω περαν της προσευχης. Εχω 2-3 ερωτησεις για αυτο το θεμα και τελος θα ηθελα να προσθεσω κατι αν μου επιτρεπεται στον φωτισμενο λογο σας για τον αγιο προς ωφελεια. 1.μηπως γνωριζεται καποιον καλο πνευματικο πατερα στο Σιάτλ ωστε να τους τον συστησω; 2. Οι κατηχησεις σας πολυτιμες στο ιντερνετ, και τους εχω στειλει αρκετες ομως επειδη εχουν παντελη αγνοια , νομιζω οτι μονο μεσα απο μια προσωπικη σχεση μαζι σας θα μπορουσαν να παρουν αρχικα μια γευση της χριστιανικης ζωης. Αν και αυτοι δειξουν προθυμια σε αυτην μου την προτροπη, εσεις υπαρχει περιπτωση να ενδιαφερθητε να τους κατηχησετε στα πρωτα τους βηματα; Ειναι μια ιδεα προταση αλλα δεν ξερω κατα ποσο ειναι εφυκτη. 3. Το βιβλιο του Αγιου θα ηθελα να το παραγγειλω και να τους το στειλω, υπαρχει μηπως και σε ηλεκτρονικη μορφη να το αγορασω; Σας ειμαι ευγνωμων. Το email μου ειναι [e-mail] αν θελησετε να μου απαντησετε. Για την ομιλια σας για την παρουσιαση του βιβλιου θα ηθελα πολυ να προσθεσω κατι προς ωφελεια. Η ταπεινωση και η υπακοη ειναι μυστηρια μεσα στον μοναχισμο αλλα και αρετες που αποκτιουνται με κοπο και εργα χρονων. Ειδικα η υπακοη θεωρειται μυστηριο στην ασκητικη ζωη και ευλογειτε με διαφορετικο τροπο απο οτι στην κοσμικη ζωη. Με ειχε απασχολησει πολυ αυτο το θεμα ως πνευματικοπαιδι γιατι η σχεση πνευματικου πατερα στην εν τω κοσμω ζωη εχει αλλες ιδιαιτεροτητες. Ο Αγιος Σωφρονιος του Εσσεξ με βοηθησε πολυ στο να αποκτησω διακριση στο θεμα αυτο της υπακοης, και της σωστης και υγειους σχεσης πνευματικου πατερα και τεκνου. Ο Αγιος Παΐσιος στο βιβλιο του "Με πονο και αγαπη για τον συχγρονο ανθρωπο επισης εχει σημαντικες πληροφοριες για το πως να αντιμετωπιζουμε διαφορα θεματα ως συγχρονοι χριστιανοι . Ειναι εκπληκτικο βιβλιο και μακαρι να το μεταφρασετε και αυτο αν δεν το εχετε κανει ηδη!!! Στα χερια μου αυτον τον καιρο επισης εχω τις κατηχησεις του Αγιου Κυριλλου και μαζι με τις αναλυσεις του μακαριστου πατερα Αθανασιου Μυτιλιναιου εχω μεινει αναυδη με το ποσα πραγματα αληθινα δεν ξερουμε που θα ηταν πολυτιμα για την πνευματικη μας εξελιξη και σωστη σταση σε σχεση με την πιστη μας. Στο πρωτο κιολας μαθημα του μιλαει για την προαιρεση. Μας λεει ο Αγιος Κυριλλος οτι ο Κυριος, καρδιογνωστης καθως ειναι, θα διαγνωσει την προαιρεση του καθενος και θα ενισχυσει την προσπαθεια του πιστου που πρωτοξεκιναει τον αγωνα του αλλα και καθολη την υπολοιπη ζωη του. Για να γνωριζουμε το θελημα Του στην καθημερινη μας ζωη και σε ολα τα θεματα που μας απασχολουν χρειαζεται να υπαρχει προσευχη αφοσιωμενη και με απλοτητα. Ειναι η πολυτιμη, μοναδικη προσωπικη επικοινωνια προσωπο με Προσωπο με τον Θεο. Ειναι το πολυτιμο χαρισμα της διακρισης που μας δινει ο Κυριος εν καιρω οσο εμεις του δειχνουμε την καλη μας προθεση να εργαστουμε. Στην Αμερικη νομιζω δεν υπαρχει η παραδοση που εχουμε εδω στην Ελλαδα απο γενια σε γενια στα θεματα της πιστης και της Ορθοδοξου ζωης, οπως και το παραδειγμα των αγιων ανθρωπων που ζουν αναμεσα μας. Οι ψυχες εκει ειναι διψασμενες για την Αληθεια αλλα πολυ μπερδεμενες απο την φλυαρια των θεωριων και των γενικοτητων...και χωρις ζωντανα παραδειγματα αγιων, ανθρωπων δηλαδη που ειναι εμπλεοι της Θειας Χαριτος περα απο τον Αγιο Εφραιμ τον Αριζονιτη και παλιοτερα του Αγιου Ιωαννη Μαξιμοβιτς περιφερονται σαν χαμενα προβατα στην ερημια. Σιγουρα ομως υπαρχουν και αλλοι που δεν γνωριζω. Και φυσικα ο δικος σας ιεραποστολικος αγωνας, πολυτιμος και ευλογημενος! Σας ειμαι ευγνωμων για τον χρονο σας. Με εκτιμηση Αναστασία

Great man can be any type of good human. Saint is amongst others Saints, Angels and Grace of God! Living embodyment of new testament! True form of Faith, Love and Hope of His Mercy(catol. Charisma) Angelic form of Human is to be Wholly (Saint) That is not just a human or person or life It is a gift of Wholly Spirit Created as we are, in Christ Highest posibility of being, for human... Saint May we only hope and prey, It is said, as we prey to Saints, as They are close to Grace of God By His Will Christ will hear prayers from Them for Us with Grace Highest Plains of Heavens So, with brotherly love, Saint is not a human or life or person, Divina Grace is present when you are present with them, or prey to them 🙏

I’m curious father, if you have thoughts on the amount of prophecies attributed to St Paisios, often about the falling of Constantinople, who would take it, when, etc. And according to one of these stories the condition and time he predicted had passed… Do these seem legitimate, or do you think there’s something to the side that says they’re often made up?

Yes, the Lord Jesus Christ personally visited him on Holy Mount Athos, the Theotokos also visited him many times, Angels visited him and took care of him when he was ill, and Saints also appeared to him numerous times. Saint Paisios is one of the holiest and greatest Saints of the Church, sent by God to teach us and warn us of things to come. Glory to God.
