Game Core64. Yeah and at times the R5 is actually better than the R6 with its HDD size and I believe not having a PSU mount cover thing (which appears to cause some issues). Both are still great but the R5 at its frequent $89.99 Newegg sales is still better in terms of deals.

R6 can carry more HDD's as long as you buy extra HDD mounts. it can take 11 HDD's compared to the R5's 8 HDD slots.

I have a problem and want this case so bad. I've owned like 4 FD cases.. But I'm happy with my Define C. It's so small for being full ATX so I'm going to resist unless/until there's a Define C2 or something that keeps that same small ATX form factor.

If the Define series is focused on silence (like they used to be at least), why would you put a glass panel in there? You know it's going to be louder right? I was looking at the R5 and it looked good, then I saw an ad about the R6. I instantly clicked it, but it has a glass panel. A glass panel should be optional (like an accessory) when shopping for silent cases.

I really like my Define R6 as it fits a push/pull setup on my 240 rad up front nicely. I only with the case itself was about 1/2 inch taller inside for more motherboard space top and bottom. its a tight fit for cables. Also an optional cover for the power supply shroud to make it semi solid would be awesome. I made my own from my plexiglass.

I know this may be a niche use case, but I have my reasons. If I were to put 4 1080 Ti Founder's Editions in this case, with one of them in the vertical slots, would the power cables from the other 3 interfere with the vertical card?

Thank you Fractal. Finally a new case with a doors, tempered glass and a PSU shroud. Though I would like to see a version that has a full length PSU shroud. But if finally looks like a I am going to change my old Define Mini C with a possibility of HW upgrade and water cooler upgrade. And luckily I don't have to throw away my fan controller.

Vertical GPU mount and additional storage mounts are nice improvements from R5. I have R5 and it's brilliant case. However I needed to leave two HDD's out from my two radiator build as there was no room for those after installing 240 rad to front. Current setup is one M.2 onboard and two 2.5' SSD at back of mobo tray.

Minor improvements compared to my R5 -- the most noticeable changes I see are a PSU shroud, vertical GPU mount, USB-C, and a full-panel window. Looks very tempting, but I'll stick with the R5 for now. Wonder if I can get that window panel tho lol.

I knew it was a good idea to wait for the R6! Amazing case, with the only downside IMO being that you can't flip the motherboard to the other side of the case. This would make it a great competitor to bequiet's recent cases, but this'll do well until that feature gets implemented :D

I like the 3-part roof moduvent of R5 because there's no need to open entire roof when installing 1 or 2 fans or smaller rad. Making the power supply shroud removable would be nice too. I switched from Antec P183 to Define R4 back in the day to get rid of it. But otherwise R6 seems to be awesome case :)

It's a shame that there isn't an R7 with 3 CD drive bays in the front. I'm actually someone who needs three 5.25'' slots for a BD-Player, hot-swappable hard drive and card reader. That's why, unfortunately, I have to stick with my current NZXT H2, even though it's extremely limited in terms of cooling solutions

Everyone is in love with the R6. Honestly the only things I see that it's improved over the R5 are the PSU cover, TG side panel and vertical GPU mount. Everything else they've changed has been a step back imo. Been waiting ages for the R6 to come out and am disappointed, hope they make a revision of the S chassis that's better.

Well, you certainly are in the minority here aren't you ol' son! The top vent hatch release is all new in R6 and a major improvement. R6 is wider so more cable room behind MB. Interior design seems a BIG step up over R5, Total shroud over PS effectively covering all unsightly wires and PS. Then of course the TG side which is industry best in execution. I am thinking of getting an R6 for my very first build in Aug'18 and I cannot imagine anything better than R6 right now.

The R6 could have been done better is all I'm saying. As for the top vent, why fix what's not broken? All that was ever missing was a filter and they actually gave us one in the later white/gold edition. That HDD/SSD panel needs to be moved back in order to fit a 280 rad which is ridiculous then you're left with a gaping hole in the PSU shroud and a lot of empty interior space. This case was more focused on watercooling which I don't understand why when they already had the Define S and I'm pretty sure that'll get a revision as well.

Yep, I hear you Andrew. I'm not into water cooling yet so the extra space inside will just mean a bit more benefit for air cooling but unnecessary space taken up on my desk sadly - she's a big dimensional case especially in length for a mid-tower. I can overlook that though with all her other attributes. Luckily these cases only cost around $100 or so (here in Australia) so it isn't the end of the world if you want to swap from R5 to R6 now or sometime later. I'm sure you've a friend or family member that may take the R5 off your hands!? :-) Cheers, Brian.

Ha! You're right! I must stop reading those silly American reviews! Re airflow hopefully the extra space in the case compensates a bit for the lower flow. Couple of fans in the roof would no doubt help too, which I've not done before thinking it may get noisy - who knows? I don't feel safe mixing water and electricity (I know, how old fashioned can you get but I don't overclock) so I'll stick with the air cooling. In $AUD I found an R6 at CPL for $155. There was a mention of one at AUD$119 in Google search but clicking on the link that price disappears and becomes AUD$155 . . . so go figure. I did see some at up to $240 so there's a big variance. On reflection, if someone had an R5 already and was perfectly happy with it (easy to be) then moving to R6 might be unjustified (each to their own though). I currently run a Silencio 650 (Win7 with 3770K, NvidiaGTX 670, 32GB RAM, 850W Corsair) which I've had since 2012 and Silencio it is a stunning, quiet and strong case with solid aluminium front - just beautiful. I'd keep this machine and build a new one (4K video editing needed) so the R6 is the only current one that comes close to the classiness and classic understated style (like R5) as the Silencio. The Silencio is still available BUT it has the lower air-flow you mentioned the R6 has. The R6 front vents look like a BIG improvement on Silencio so I'll go with that happily PLUS the reviews say it is in the middle of the pack in terms of heat. I don't overclock AND Silencio was 'adequate' so I've no doubt R6 will fill the need for me. Cheers, Brian.

I think you should have offered a removable front door, what I mean by that is a good design behind that front door so you can remove and still have a nice decent looking case just in case you may want to go for more airflow which many people may want to do
