Looking to build my first PC after 20+ years and was checking out similar build with the Terra and 4070 Super, but started putting specs down with Intel Core i5 older gen. Will be for gaming only since I do my work on macOS. Definitely saving this to watch again when I'm closer to pulling the trigger. Well done man, keep up the great work
Try to get a low power draw cpu with the terra, heat is bad. I would go AMD anyway these days, but especially for itx.

@@stabizisback a lot has changed and I’m now leaning towards the Era 2 and AMD CPU now. By the time I get to build, the 5000 series should have come out. Not in a rush anymore.

@@SUPERTOMMO hehe, lots changed for me too, I am now on the Lian Li Dan A3. Went from too big fish tank (O11 Evo RGB) to too small Terra to (for me) just perfect A3. Side window addon, 7800X3D, 32GB 6000mhz, 4080 Super, cooled by Thermalright Phantom Spirit (with Noctua fans) and more Noctua case fans. Side mounted SFX PSU to open up the space inside. 10/10, super happy, nice to look at and super silent. Cant tell its on.

Your first time building? I think you did great. I would never want to build my first time in an ITX because some of them are tricky, but it looks like this Terra is designed well. Beautiful computer.

Yess! It was my first time building a PC but open a laptop to upgrade stuff before! The Terra is super cleann

Yes!! I have tested the computer for a while and got quite high temps so I decided to re-applied the cpu with pea dot!

Nice build! How loud is the CPU cooler during gaming?
@punnavatc27 күн бұрын
Not going to lie it is quite loud during gaming, however if you playing game with headphones it is nearly not noticeable at all.

How are the temps and noise level? I plan to build in terra :)
@punnavatc20 күн бұрын
Ngl, the temps i quite high we sitting around 37-50 degrees idle or light task. The noise while doing light task is really not noticeable but while gaming the sound ramped up!

Nice video. You're air cooling ,right? Can you comment on the noise of this build? I read a lot that the Fractal Terra is no the most quiet case. How noisy does it get during idle and during gaming? thx
@punnavatc2 ай бұрын
Yes, I'm using air cooling with the Fractal Terra for this build. The main reason I chose air cooling is because my GPU has three fans, leaving little room for an AIO setup. During idle, it's surprisingly quiet-I rely mainly on the Noctua CPU cooler, which works exceptionally well with the Ryzen 5 7600X, despite it running quite hot. I've also set my GPU to quiet mode when not gaming, which really helps minimise the noise. However, I won't sugarcoat it-when gaming, it does get louder. All the fans kick in, including the GPU in normal and performance mode, and it's definitely noticeable but with earphone on while gaming it is not that noticeable. But considering the performance, it's a trade-off I'm willing to accept!

Yes, I have noticed it. It was due to the thermal pad while doing the installation🥲. And it is quite hard to redo it although the system works fine!
@demon6937Ай бұрын
How much is the overall build like that?
@punnavatcАй бұрын
It is around $1,900 usd, although certain part might have different price and availability according to the region. The price can be reduce a lot with more budget friendly option (eg, power supply, mainboard, ram, gpu) so we can allocate more cost into the cooler!

For all those watching this video: Never go for a cpu cooler with a fan ON TOP in the terra. L12S, L12Sx77, L12 GE depending on the gpu.

My setup works well with the Noctua NH-L9x65 cooler, and I've been getting CPU temperatures under 65°C while gaming, with no issues so far. The airflow in the Fractal Terra has been sufficient for my build, even with the Asus Prime OC 4070 Super. I appreciate the recommendations though😄
@stevens104119 күн бұрын
I think the Terra can only fit a top fan CPU air cooler aka a so-called low profile cooler. Refer to the official documentation from Fractal--the clearances on this model are tight for air cooling. I don't think tower coolers are possible here. Correct me if I'm wrong.
