Fractured Space: "The Escape" Trailer

Fractured Space is team-based space combat fought in gigantic capital ships. With the intensity of a shooter and the big-picture-thinking of a strategy game, Fractured Space is at the forefront of an exciting new frontier for the genre.
This Early Access trailer from January 2016 shows off some of the current ships in the game. All footage is recorded in real time from within the game engine using game assets.

+Steve H. (Infidel) What do you mean? I have well over 100 hours in this game. Everything except for the fighter chatter can happen in-game, and it even looks exactly the same (admittedly I run it on ultra). Visually and mechanically I think this is an accurate representation. That being said it IS still in early access as an alpha build. You are right in that it still needs a lot of work to reach full release. But in terms of this trailer: I think they've replicated it all pretty well.

+Gamatech123 I mean exactly what I said. I did not say it wasn't actual footage from the game. I said it's nowhere near this exciting. They made a commercial and did what all production companies do and simply put together pieces of the action in a sequence of events that appear realtime. Anyone can pull up game footage on KZbin and you won't see anything like this. Just letting people know to look around before you believe the hype.

+Steve H. (Infidel) I think the only difference between this and gameplay is that this is in the perspective of the fighters instead of the capital ships. You get Levis and Colossi fighting close quarters. You get Hunters blinking in front of you out of nowhere. You get fighters flying around the place. Even the sound effects are the same.

+Gamatech123 Yuuuup, exactly what I saw too. My comment is still solid though. I don't recall being able to control the fighters and fly around with their perspective. Other then that it is game footage, just like I said it was. My point is the player does not experience the game this way. No battle is this exciting, not even close, and this is a compilation of several events during a battle put together to make it appear far more exciting than it actually is. It's good editing for sure and fun to watch.

You missed the part where the paragon Alt F4's out the moment the interceptor shot at him....great trailer though. was this made shot for shot or was each ship scripted? Because It would be nice to see a full panoramic of this playing out or a behind the scenes making of video the studio is really pushing it with unreal 4 there are so few developers making good use of the engine.

+Shak Compared to literally every other alpha/beta game I've played, the GUI in this game is extremely refined. I literally just downloaded it and I find it very intuitive.

+Adahop agreed its very easy to pick up. my only gripe is that i cant roll the ship. i want to be able to double tap the strafe key to roll left and right. so i can turn damaged armour away from the enemy more easily. a full 360 degree pitch and roll option would make it perfect.

+Viridis Lux I think my biggest gripe is the lack of verticality built into the objectives.They're all lined up pretty horizontally across the map. All you have to do is go straight. It'd be cool if some were higher or lower than others. Also, building off your rolling idea. It'd be cool if you could roll the camera rolled too. It would give the battlefield another layer of perspective to work with. it's in space dev use it. Throw out idea of up and down. I want to see a capital ship diving down across my field of view from left to right. I want chaos! Also, ramming other ships needs to be a mechanic.
