But if I'm the standard knuckle-dragger and go out and purchase my 14900K, some z790 with 4 DIMM slots, and some 8000 MT/s DDR5 what is the likelihood I get to a stable 8000 MT/s? My comment was it’s complete apples to oranges because your comparing a 8 core 16 SMT CPU to a 24 core 16 thread CPU that also clocks alot higher of course it will consume significantly more power. I mean it could be specially binned from a year ago when 6400 was the highest speed available on the market, now as the tech has improved you can buy 8000 off the shelf. Not sure why he didn’t follow some basic rules like use a kit that’s on the mobo QVL for 8000 and run it with the stock voltage. @beyondspecs9401 Жыл бұрын
@@Davinmk I noticed it in many reviews. On another note, i myself overclocked memory to 8000 and yeah it is true that more often than not, too much voltage results in worse frequency especially when everything else is left on AUTO. That shows me the guys on Igors have no clue. Many voltage rails have dependencies in one another. Boosting one line and leaving the rest on auto is "i cannot even google" level of incompetence. Not liking Joofes is one thing, but discrediting everything he says because Igor looks smarter wearing his nerd glasses is ignorant 🙂
@beyondspecs9401 Жыл бұрын
@@Davinmk Listen man I've seen you saying this in many other comments but i'll respectfully ask you to not try to pull this with me. Even though Jufes is overdoing it a bit, the AMDip is real and here is the true version of it if you must know: Let's take an imaginary example and say that a Game has 200fps on average. An 7800X3D will fall to 125fps for 0.1% lows. The 13900K will have 180fps average and fall to 100fps for 0.1% lows. So AMD wins clearly this battle even on 0.1% lows right? YES BUT AMD retained only 60% of it's average performance when measuring the lows whereas Intel retained 80% of it's average performance. Hence it can be said that AMDs framerate "dipped" deeper than Intel leading to the friendly term AMDip. Check every single review and do the math and you'll see this behavior is very very common in AMD cpus. Of course that is not always the case because different game engines react differently but is common enough for it to be a valid characteristic of the brand. Before AM5 platform things were even worse in this matter but I'm tired of writing and not gonna bother with legacy tech.

yo at first i liked you but also really disliked you, but i end up coming back cause despite you being 100% intel, its not without reason and you speak the truth. big difference or not, intel is the way to go for max performance, amdip is real no matter how big or small. 100% makes me really wonder if i should have stuck with the 13600k i got, but im on 7900x right now, good cpu but an intel alternative would still be the better performing option power draw aside. i still think ill be an amd user but i still think intel is the better performing choice. i personally use an intel gpu, arc a750, which isnt power efficient, but im going to stick with intel gpus cause i know it will be more stable than amd and a better deal than nvidia most likely. ive had the arc gpu for quite a while now and its been reliable. yet amd proves itself to be bad with drivers time and time again, so my money isnt on them. i do know intel had a rocky start on gpu's but its proved itself reliable for me so i feel confident in it.
