I'm not an AMD fanboy but I always pick what suits me best, so had Radeon and Geforce cards over the years, never had issues with neither of them, so I just pick the better deal. Personally I like Adrenalin software much better than the GeForce Experience. Currently I have a Gigabyte RX 7800 XT 16GB and have no issues at all. It has been rock solid stable, cool and fast.

I have been on a journey for like a year and a half and I just built up a couple pc's and now I have my 10900kf paid like 200 bucks on it got some good ram and z590. Im extremely pleased. It was between that and 12900k. My bestbud is running a 13900k and im pretty sure my rig is more stable. You have to remember most people have no clue what rebar nor xmp or Sam. Seriously I've got friends buy a custom pc and not customize it.

The 13700k hits spikes of 430amps in normal workloads. Taking that down to 375a reduces a little performance, but does so much more for keeping it stable. Way better than "undervolting". Most people's ambient temps are way higher than they think, prior to purchasing their processor. Even 7800x3d guys have some heat issues in the summer. It was told over and over when the 13700K released COOOL IT... You need a cooling solution to keep up with spikes of 512A to have a worlds record 13900K 100%.

As an investor, AMD boys analyze the technicals and the fundamentals so well, I applaud them. But they don't understand the macro at all. They won't even listen. It's impossible to explain to AMD investors that Nvidia only makes around 13% of their revenue from gaming. Nvidia is not a gaming/consumer company at all. Nvidia sells to enterprise. And I just can't get AMD investors to understand that.

Great chat. Glad you got Brian on. You all tell it like it is and that's definitely appreciated. I def had to FAFO with my 7950 x3d build. I got it all working and the scheduling seems to have gotten better but I am lucky. I have no issues with any games except elden ring. I've got to get to playing after the new patch for the DLC and see if it helped. No issues at all with my RTX 4090 and 64GB of ram. Two sticks though I didn't want to FAFO and try to get 4 running. Looking forward to your evaluations of next Gen Intel and AMD CPUs very much. I think NAVI 4 is DOA but we'll see.

I hate big little architecture with a passion. All I want is uniform consistent cores on a monolithic chip with all the X86 instructions going back to 1975 so all legacy programs run flawlessly without issues. Thats it. I want nothing else other than those cores, on a more advanced node. Make them wider with more IPC or space out the transistors for higher clocks and stack more cache but only boost performance that way. No multi architecture frankenchips, no chiplets/tiles and never EVER remove instruction sets. all of that shit is cancer and I wont buy it.

you are going for a big disappointment then since all of them are going for chiplet/tile based design. 14th gen and amd igus are probably going to the last monolithic cpus on the market for multiple years. Maybe - just maybe, you will get another round with the supposedly intended bartlet series that will be essentially 14th gen with a few improvements to farm lga 1700 owners. Assuming you maintain you stance i can only wish you good luck using mail pigeons in a few years when the current crop of cpu will be totally obsolete.

When I used RADEON Graphics, the drivers and software kept uninstalling themselves. Gaming is most likely going full cloud service. They had it set up for a push in like 2015 before they decided to ramp up '5G' infrastructure. That was the beginning for the AI push.

It saves power and heat, provides higher boost clocks. That's not a high power use card, so it doesn't matter unless you're tweaking and overclocking, which that card does oc very well. The only problem with AMD hardware is high end like 6900 and 7900XTX for being over silicon quality. There's the random rare driver issue, but seriously Google it and don't use the bad driver. People buy the card and randomly install a bad driver and instead of fixing it return the card immediately. That's a user problem. If you want perfect drivers on AMD, use Linux.

You are wrong - the volume is on the lower end stuff, and even many luxury brands will either do last year's greats as this year's affordable or have a ton of lower-end stuff with the higher end as the carrot on the stick or the halo product. Take a look at the Steam Hardware Survey - the money is still made way more on the mainstream. It's just for Nvidia, you can jack up prices, still sell at least eventually, and also make even more off of AI. If Nvidia long terms really wants to not care about the mid-range and below - they will make even less money, percentage wise, from GPU's-vs-AI's and Intel (perhaps - if not BM then after) or AMD (perhaps - clean sheet ?) will get that money instead.

@@J.king87 dont know, i say arrow lake is going to be faster than raptor lake because they did a lot of work on the cache setup within each core. also expect much better memory overclocking because the memory controller will now be ddr5 ONLY the core mhz matter very little when u get past a certain amount

@@bigcazza5260 having the imc be compatible with ddr4 and ddr5 had very little to do with the capability of the imc in regards ddr5. The main issue was that when the ddr5 imc was designed , ddr5 was still in it's infancy and subject to multiple limitations. It is not like for example ryzen 7 that only has ddr5 was/is better. ddr5 also faces issues beyond certain speed with signal integrity, so even with a much more nature IMC design, cpu, motherboard and ram manufacturers are kind of making the push for camm2 or even dimms with integrated clocks, since presently once you get above 8500/8800 it really become hard to maintain signal integrity outside of monolithic based design with very short memory lanes and even then only in 2 dimm boards.

I actually think most of Intel problems comes from the last CEO not investing enough in the fabs. I've heard that some of the delays were fix by throwing money at the problems. The last CEO is known for spending less on new products and more payouts to the investors. Considering a node traditionally had 7-10years lead tIme this atleast makes sense to me. Pat beeing an engineer I think he's the right man for the job. No one in Intel can bullshit him around with his technical background. I just hope Pat has enough ambition and can get the Intel divisions to work faster to keep up with the competition. I looked through the Intel vids on p and e cores just now and they said e cores was up to 40% faster than the ones used in Raptor lake desktop. Also the out of order function seems to have gotten a lot better. How this will affect my Pubg gaming is hard to say^^.

AMD have come a long way though were they were finally a viable option last gen the ryzen 5000.. but for last 6 years KZbinrs over hyped ryzen 1000 2000 and 3000 way overboard then 5000 is actually competitive and it’s pushed as the second coming of Christ and the hype train was amazing. The hype for Intel isn’t something that has ever sold KZbin views mainly due to the average KZbin viewer being who watches a lot of KZbin being poor and not buying new hardware anyway they just like watching all the new hardware releases and shitting on what they wouldn’t buy if they had the funds to buy it. 11:20 Truth.... I've owned tons of AMD/ATI cards and the driver issues are like the flu. When they hit, they hit. AMD might have a 2 or 3 year stretch where things work fine, then AMD will try something different, and Bam, shits broken. Even my beloved HD5870 did not like Sandy Bridge at first and I had to try a few different tricks to get it to work with my P67/2600k system. That was March 2011.

That's true, but AMD users can follow the Reddit and use the recommended drivers. It's annoying, but you save hundreds of dollars and that's the trade off. People shouldn't buy AMD if they're not comfortable with doing that. Except if you're running Linux, which you shouldn't buy Nvidia ever for that, and AMD works better than Windows.

@@RuanLFC There's a lot of missing context. VLIW was not good long term, and AMD bought ATI during the hd6000 and massively mishandled the drivers. Also, even though those cards were first to use tessellation, they were the literal worst performing with it. I get the fine wine argument with gcn, but 1.0 was complete trash for years with Fermi still beating GCN in any game that wasn't optimized. AMD did not have acceptable hardware/drivers at all until the 290, and it still took Windows 10, dx12, and Vulkan. So Vega and Polaris is where the drivers and hardware started being acceptable, and RDNA2 is where AMD was actually better. You can fanboy all you want over RTX, but AMD was giving you 16gb vram vs 8gb. 8gb was not enough. Those rtx features needed a minimum of 12gb, and right now games are using it. You can still get by with a 6700xt, but you are screwed with a 3070. There are no CPU issues using AMD either, and in fact AMD has lower driver overhead, and ryzen is the best gaming chip. No e core scheduling issues, instability, or insane power draw. That said, AMDs 6900 and xtx cards are pushed too high, and should be avoided. So there is a sweet spot and AMD does not compete across the whole segment, but they do have better products where they are competing.

No capacity issue on foundry broker dealer. The channel is selling off Ada and Blackwell is coming as expected. Nvidia wants 300 million Ampere traded in on a performant return to desktop dGPU design gen Blackwell so used Ampere can be resold into world market Nvidia CUDA app dev u 2 r so down the stack in this regard. The two biggest intel/Nvidia fanboys. Both their houses burnt down when their 14900ks exploded during their last game of warzone. The damn things just lost their stability. Hopefully, they will get an RMA from Intel but probably not from Asus.

Been having issues with AMD cards since 2013, I always had no money, so I had to resort to budget AMD and NVIDIA cards, and I had minimal issues with Nvidia and a slew of issues with AMD I feel like they can't write drivers to gel with issues in actual hardware. Being crapped on by AMD fan is something else though Since Ryzen was made, old Nvidia fans got converted to AMD and they were fighting to last breath over Radeon/Ryzen I am pretty objective, my first GPU was ATI based (before name Radeon), and then it was Nvidia, then Radeon again, then Radeon again then about 9 Nvidia cards, and another 2 AMDs AMDs/Radeon cards crashed a lot, Nvidias did crash, but minimally.

No need for a 3-hour video. If it's a workstation, get Intel. If it's a straight up gaming rig, get a Ryzen 7800x3d. Period. And for GPU, get whatever you prefer. This hardware war is getting worse than the console war bois ...

Screw Ngreedia. Going AMD (maybe Intel) for my GPU needs from now on. I'll deal with whatever bugs I have to. Jensen will be begging us to come back once his AI Powertrip bubble bursts. Switched to AMD had no issues did a clean install been good no bugs for some smart guys they sure like to complain about easily solved issues 😅😂😂😂
