Yesterday my parents and I went to visit Framlingham Castle & Orford Castle. At both the castles in glass cases for museum show were Wooden Batons. Constables Batons.

It’s difficult to hear over the wind and gravel crunching. Thanks for adding the captions, it really helps.

Thanks for the video, got a good understanding of some of the medieval aspects. I wonder when exactly in the 15th century the bridge out to the pleasure garden was built? Also you look like my aunty 20 years ago!

Nice little visit to Framlingham. Spectacular architecture and scenery. Very peaceful. Such a shame this castle was let fall into ruin especially with it's important connection to Queen Mary 1st. It would've been some sight in it's hey day. It's ruins are charming and worth a visit nonetheless.

Wow I didn't realise Framingham Castle looked like that. I envisaged it being a lot smaller and more ruined.

Rather ironic that Mary Tudor was residing in the ancestral home of the Howards, since Ann Boleyn’s mother was a Howard.
