Today, PGS Andy shows the Framus Hollywood Double Cut, which stems back to 1958. Every detail of this Hollywood DC is true to the original, with specs including a Black Rose finish and vintage Framus bridge/ tailpiece. The Hollywood Double Cut has a lightweight chambered body and a set mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard. A wide variety of singing vocal-like midrange or crystal clear twang comes from the Framus Hollywood's vintage single coils and versatile bass/treble controls.

It's incredible how good of a guitarist Andy is. There are few people that have this level of control over their instrument. All the songs he plays.. everything perfect.

I am a man that loves a black cherry burst... I went so far as to refinish and epi. dot in such a manner. Love the shape, love the sound. Will keep this one in mind.

Now, granted, Andy could make a shoebox and some elastic bands sound good but I like the fact that this guitar seems pretty unusual and has some interesting controls/tones available. This might just be my new favourite PGS demo!

I have one of these, except mine is an original vintage. It's not the most solid guitar in the world, but it's very playable and useful. It's has quite a nice character, I'm very pleased with it.

Given 999.99$ I think I'm still going to buy an American Strat. Actually for another couple hundred you can score a PRS Mira, and that's the only guitar you'll ever need. It seriously does everything.

Why is an incredible reissue of an iconic '60s beat group-style guitar being wasted playing this tasty crap? Should be throwin' down with "Shakin All Over" (Johnny Kidd style) or something equally twangy.

@kirkhetfieldtrujillo Wrong. The starting point is your hands. If your hands aren't good, you could have a million dollars-worth in gear, and it'll all go to waste. I've heard great players make shitty guitars sound amazing.

OK, sorry to break up the Andy worship here, but doesn't anyone else think like me that he makes every piece of gear sound the same?? Great player, I love listening to him, but besides the fact that they demo mostly outlandish things I'll never see or be able to afford, I find the sonic objectivity of PGS videos a little lacking, so their reviews seem less and less useful to me. Been subscribed for years and will continue to, but... doesn't this bother anyone else??
