The question here is : why would you think the whole world is descending into a mire of evil and despair ? We have never been better than we are now. Keep one thing in mind : news and media in general are there for one thing : prepare your brain to be more permeable to advertising. Fear and outrage are among the best ways for this. This is one of the reasons so many people see the world as a "Big bad world".

Silly African man, trying to get help when a terrorist with an automatic weapon is on the loose and he as an employee would probably know the best way to do that without getting killed. (He actually wanted to help the customers to get out through the hoist if I don’t misremember, which was the only way, but they were scared that the murderer would be alerted by the noise, so he had to hide them in the fridge instead)

I'm afraid that any good deed done by an immigrant, or in the case of this conversation a Muslim, will be overshadowed in the eyes of a lot of people by even just one bad deed done by another immigrant or Muslim. Just yesterday a criminal, who also happened to be a Muslim ( albeit a converted Belgian native ), shot and killed three people in Belgium. Sadly, I think that this will linger in people's minds longer than the brave hero who saved that child in France.

Rescuing immigrant kids from what precisely? You mean smuggle an immigrant kid from another country into France? Help kids in need in other countries and bringing them into France? That's seriously two different things.
@s3lfFish6 жыл бұрын
I'm talking about kids (and their parents and other people) arriving, having crossed the sea or the mountains and in need of urgent assistance or the ones still on the boats that everyone let to die, except when a body of kid appears on the shore and make the cover and the everyone is shocked. and yes even it they are on the other side of whatever border if you can help people you hep them just like when people were helping people to cross the berlin wall No matter in which country they are, we have to help those people who are escaping from war (most of which our governments play a part or are directly involved), famine, and so on... just like europeans were welcomed by those exact countries in the wake of WW2 As for the main issue, of course we should just stop making war to other countries, and give them help (without intruding or interfering) so they can rebuilt their societies just like europe did in 45. Very few people wants to quit their homes and countries, so if we could apply that , people in the first place wouldn't feel that they have no choice in order to survive than put their life at risk to cross borders in hte first place. So if they're country if ok, the only immigrants you'll have will be the ones that don't need it, but want to. In any case most western countries needs immigrants and we're accepting far less than in the past our policies have become insanely harsh to say the least the conditions thoses people live in when they arrive here are insane and nothing justify this. And whenever a citizen tries to help them they get convicted ... for what ? solidarity ? having a heart ?

Like it should be. Religion and beliefs are mentioned if they're related to the action. That got nothing to do with bias, the reason why islam is mentioned in reporting about terrorism is because many of those suspects recall on it. I have never heared a reporting about a murder related to personal relationships in which the religion (no matter what) was mentioned, I never heared news like: "Today a bicylist was killed when three speeders, two christians and one buddhist, raced each other". This guy really rocks! Even Front National didn’t dare criticize this decision. Trevor makes it sounds like it never happens. This is untrue, we routinely give around 5 persons a year the citizenship for an act of outstanding courage. The difference in this case is that it got caught on camera immediately and with Macron there is like virtually no time to even bat an eye. Save a kid on a Saturday, go to the Élysée on Monday morning to get your papers :D :D :D For the record, that also happened in January 2015. Another undocumented guy from Mali, himself a Muslim, saved Jews from an Islamic attack by sheltering them instead of fleeing. Mali is starting to look as a place where heroes are born specially to go to Paris and do their calling or something. Are there no similar proceedings in America for acts of exceptional bravoure? I think this a great way to reward exceptional people (but is unfair to all the ones who do not find a child hanging from a balcony while walking down the street, and yet have the same inner values...)

If that were to be in America, some white lady would have called the police on him as he climbed up that building...

Am I the only one wondering why the kid was dangling in the first place and why those 2 people at the balcony didn't pull it up?
@Palmieres6 жыл бұрын
SenBen TV It looked like the people in the balcony are neighbors and there's a partition. They were in a much better position to grab the kid (just go around the thing) but Spiderman went "f-ck this noise, they're not doing anything, I will" and saved the day.

If you watch the video they only just came out a few seconds before spider man reached the child.

There was a barrier between the balconies. They had grabbed his hand. Also the kid fell 2 stories and then caught the railing.

Angel Samael Yeah true. I guess Spider-Man was too fast
@alanomaly6 жыл бұрын
V Dotkog Yeah the man was leaning half over the balcony edge and managed to get a hold of the kid's right arm, and the woman was holding on to the man so he wouldn't tip over the balcony (he had to lean out pretty far to reach around the partition between the balconies). There's another clip where you can see it clearer.
