Team USA will win with scoring, as always, that's how they've beaten France in the Olympics final twice, even with a strong french defense. I still do not understand how they've been able to not put Jaylen Brown in this team, he's been brilliant not only in the finals but all the regular season too ! he's way better than leFool now... we french people remember what it cost us to put an old Zidane on the pitch in 2006 soccer world cup: we lost the final, and the pool games were a nightmare for him, he made 2 very good games vs Spain and Brazil, and Italy pretty much locked him in defense with Materazzi. When the intensity goes up in defense Lebron James proved recently to be out of breath vs the Nuggets in the playoffs. USA Basketball wants to make the Olympics look like a tour d'honneur for Curry, Durant and Lebron, that's arrogance first, and really not a good idea with Serbia already in group games.

Maybe again, but that's a 5 teams tournament with Serbia, Canada and Germany, too.Latvia seems to have a weak morale, Lithuania has a poor defense (you can't let the mexicans score that much in FIBA games, not normal). Also Spain, as always, but they've never been good in Olympics. To me there are 3 legit teams able to beat USA: France (already done it in a world cup with a B or C team vs a USA D team, only lost by 5 in 2021 in Tokyo), Serbia, Canada, that's a lot compared to previous Olympics.

Nando is a true marvel, but Evan Fournier was clearly lost. I think the starting 5 will be Nando, Nadir Hifi (best defensive guard yesterday), Bilal, Batum, and Wemby, with the option to switch Batman for Rudy if they need more paint presence. Either way that's a scary team on both ends of the court.

It's been the case already in Tokyo, USA winning by 5 only... and not only in the paint, the small french guards like Strazel and Hifi are playing like pitbulls in iso defense, Yabusele, Bilal and Wemby defending on 3s... the only way for team USA is to target Strazel and Hifi with a taller PG like Haliburton, specially Hifi who's quick for sure but lags on stepback 3s...
