He's back on the red carpet at Cannes for the third festival in a row. Actor Adam Driver has become something of a fixture on the French Riviera. After the success of "The Dead Don't Die" in 2019 and "BlacKkKlansman" the year before that, the American actor is starring in the festival's opening film, "Annette", alongside France's Marion Cotillard.

Adam is extremely intelligent. I do not believe he is nervous. He just takes time relaying his thoughts into words. He will be one of the greatest actors of his generation.

Absolutely, thank you for saying that. People are nervous because he doesn't come up with a fast, linear answer to journalistic questions. Go and have a life! I say. You might find many diverse, slow, erratic, crazy ways of expressing yourself..... actually beautiful and 'normal', whatever that means.

Intj. Intuitives are not linear in their conversation. It's a very abstract way of processing and outputting information. Its why 'linear' or 'sensors' tend to label those who think and speak like this 'nervous' 'weird' 'not normal' .. why can't they just be who they are? Just because people people act different than the norm does not mean they are rambling or nervous

@@Leelanau03 anxiety is a totally normal thing and Driver exhibits a lot of common traits of the anxious. No one is saying it makes him weird.

@@Leelanau03 additionally, Jung was discredited, so the Myer Briggs test was relegated to the realm of pseudo-science. And I quote my favourite psych student: "Yeah Myers Briggs isn’t worth the time it takes to do it". Not to mention the fact that even if it were credible, the term "INTJ intuitive" is redundant, because the intuitive is implied by the "diagnosis". So I wouldn't put much stock in that.

I really wish Adam watched his films. He is so remarkable and though we all find flaws in our work and ourselves, he deserves to experience the entirety of the piece without being overly conscientious about the subtle fallacies, only he would be able to detect. He is a theatrical phenomenon and adore his very existence 🥰

I agree, it would be cool to see his reflections on his own work. But I respect his aversion to it. I suspect it's a more serious type of anxiety that extends beyond the normal level of self-consciousness people might feel toward such things.

There was this short moment of confusion where he's still in the same place most likely the same day and then he's way more all over the place than in the other snippets. Until I started to get "all over the place" very quickly and paused several times to then notice the restaurant/pool bar(?) noises from his side of the screen were pulling at my attention and not noises over here 😂 He might have had the same problem. That was such a good snippet of interview, though! I didn't know the extent of his involvement in Annette. It was interesting hearing him speak about the practical aspect coming to him naturally. The more I learn the more I have to smile about just how much we seem to have in common. It's soothing. And at the same time the things that are different for us are encouraging. It's like "Oh, beautiful, life can be like that for people like us, too". In an odd sense, since we're complete strangers but yet, humans relate to each other in these ways at times. Thank you for sharing this interview.

@@nikolassodiant2595 Some people are just too lazy for actively using their brains while they watch a movie or listen to music. They want it simple. Once in a while it can be nice and watch an action comedy or something, just float along and have a laugh. But in the long run I find that pretty boring. A movie like 'Annette' takes an audience that observes, listens, is aware of what happens on the screen. And, actually you have better understanding after you watched it AT LEAST twice. There's so much going on, and it's difficult to catch everything. 3 or 4 times is my recommendation. That may seem ridiculous, but I seriously mean it. 🤩😍💖
