I had a strange thought earlier today. The word Nirvana, according to Britannica, "is used to refer to the extinction of desire, hatred, and ignorance and, ultimately, of suffering and rebirth. Literally, it means 'blowing out' or 'becoming extinguished,' as when a flame is blown out or a fire burns out." And as Neil Young said, and what Kurt Cobain wrote in his suicide letter, "it's better to burn out then to fade away." The name Nirvana is literally a haunting foreshadowing of the final moments of Kurt Cobain's life.

Two of my coworkers were talking about the best way to survive a zombie apocalypse the other day, it was more of an "exercise" in discussing zombie lore. I told them the best way would be to join a civil war reenactment group with cannons and horses and it was totally random but it turned out to be check mate. Between a stop animation film called the life and times of Santa claus as a kid and Nirvana as a teenager I never would have been able to save the world last Monday.

I was in Seattle when it happened, and was a Nirvana fan. It was a sad day back in the 90’s now in my 50’s knowing how difficult and painful life can be and how many times you get kicked around and punched so much that yeah man life is tough. I hate him now! Having such a beautiful daughter who has gone through so much, some of it by having a missing father, as a human being he had a duty to carry on through anything for his child. As the years go by and I hear a Nirvana song I get angry and think cowardly selfish 0:01 narcissistic POS just because everyone needs a father, even a bad one who can change or just be there some day, he disappeared from her forever. Me and my father had a dysfunctional relationship for years and still in my 40’s we moved on and became best friends, he robbed her from that and even in our worst of times there was always some wisdom thrown at me from him that I didn’t understand at the time and as life went on I remembered what he said. The only thing that matters in this life is family and for that I resent that man. If you wanna off yourself who am I to say, but don’t bring a kid into this world!!
