I saw Bianchi did an interview with The Perfume Guy and she said she has removed all real animalic notes and replaced them with something else. For “cruelty free” reasons. She did not elaborate on what she replaced them with but she says they were good replacements. 🤷‍♀️ I still want to try her fragrances. I really appreciate your reviews for sure. Much more honest.

It's a nice creation, I can't say I don't enjoy her work in some cases. IMO she is ahead of some big-selling ,,niche'' brands in terms of quality and concepts, it made me interested to smell all her fragrances and I'd take a Bianchi over a Xerjoff any day honestly. I just recently bought a 30ml backup bottle of Sticky Fingers because I found a good deal on FragranceBuy. I’ll have to spray it to see if there is a difference with my older bottle.

@@RamseytheRam I don’t sense a difference with the exception that the new bottle is a bit weaker, but I think that as it ages it will smell just the same.

Love this one! It's actually one of my favourite patchouli compositions (I'm guilty of liking her DNA though). For my taste anyway, sits among some the likes of Givenchy Gentleman (another league), Profumum Roma Patchouly, Jovoy Psychedelique, Chanel Coromandel and so on Great review as always Ramsey! I own the Black Knight which I love because it really does evoke her description. And yes it also has the overdose orris in the dry down. Not very elegant but I love it because it is so evocative

I have a couple of Franseca Bianchis in my collection. Need to revisit them after your review coz it’s been a long time since I got to smell them. Nothing earth shattering or anything but they were okay I thought.

This is my only full bottle FB fragrance. I tried really hard with her first 6-8 releases. They just didn't work on me, not even the most hyped Under my Skin. The Dark Side and Lovers Tale were more to my liking. Almost a case of less is more (of that FB DNA). Definitely something honey like in the dry down which verges on almost too sweet. Almost. Haven't had the pleasure of smelling the Givenchy but I'm glad to have this in my collection. Cheers mate.

also i got my Francescas samples and i gotta say The Dark Side and Black Knight are the ones i prefer of this orris overdose bunch, the artemisia in Black Knight is quite appealing to me and dark side has this sweet dry down which is quite nice, still hard to say if worth spending 108 when icould allocate it to smth else. Byzantine amber, lovers tale, etruscan water,under my skin were all ok to me, but didnt care for

Well said fragrance is meant to be worn, sometimes i ask myself if i really love a scent i bought and if not try to give it to someone close who will, i want to be very minimal if possible tho it is still probably a number of bottles between 10-50, between oils, attars ecc

I've been curious about Sticky Fingers. So far, the only ones from the house I have tried are The Black Knight and The Dark Side, both of which I enjoyed. I am a bit lacking when it comes to patchouli frags and am curious as to how she handles it. I love vintage/classic style scents, so it's sounding like it might be right up my alley.

The opening would be right up your alley... the dry down starts to move to the classic FB DNA... but if you like her work in the ones you tried you will enjoy the dry down as well Stephan 💪🐏

You said, buying fragrances was a sort of a habit. I truly thought about it, and for us it is just the addiction.. It is fueled/fed by the activities like watching reviews and studying perfumery more. Your urge to buy a new frag over and over, to hunt for that new item that you absolutely must have, is really an addiction. Go without it for a month or two, it goes off. Dare you to buy one more thing, the urge comes back.

Bal a versailles is closer to under my skin... sticky fingers is closer to the patch honey combos of the 70s ... sample it if u never have ... its one of her better creations imho

I really like this because of the Gentleman Givenchy like smell. But her thick orris butter dna somehow doesn’t go well in my skin. It smells rancid somehow.

No clue @@RamseytheRam. I'm going off a sample I got in the Summer. I personally like the scent, but like you I'm not sure if id buy bottle. Under my skin is the only master piece I think she has. I know you've compared it to bal a Versailles but I've had vintage bottle of it and I don smell the similarities to be that close tbh. now I know you have the pure parfum so you say its way more animalic and different from the other concentrations.

Haven't smelled it, but if it smells like original Givenchy Gentleman, kudos to her for reincarnating lost scent, because the current formulation of GG is a parody of itself. I got an impression that Francesca has a sweet tooth. Hope there's a good confectionery where she lives and she's getting enough of the stuff.

😂😂😂 Unfortunately that opening of leather / patchouli & castoreum is stronger in the vintage sample... people are saying the scent has changed a lot during the years...no clue if thats just talk or if there is truth to it

Hmm, ok good to know. By the way, you always portray Bal à Versailles as something filthy. I'm not quite sure if I see it that way. Yes, it is primal, but it's more like animal primal, not human primal. It takes me back to remote areas where people still live in traditional ways, it takes me to relict forests. Very introspective fragrance. I literally cried a few times when I wore it. Definitely a masterpiece.
