I didn't like Needles much when he first came in but this moment showed me a different side of him. He actually has the sack to stand up to the higher-ups in order to protect his guys. I lament that there aren't too many guys like Needles in real life.

It's scenes like these which make me love Needles. He's not only the Chief, but also one of the guys, and a goofy one at that. I just love his character. Nothing against Jerry, but I just found Needles funnier and more entertaining

I've always loved Needles. When Adam Ferrara first came on the show, it made it a lot better! I was watching Adam's comedy act way before I was ever watching Rescue Me.
