I just have the hardest time with this portion about being silent about abuse in the church. I'm not saying that Francis Chan is a part of it (I hope not). But it's usually the people who say "He is the Lord's anointed," who are part of the clique/faction that is very comfortable, very "safe" and heaps abuse on others while silencing the abused. There are scriptures that speak against ministers abusing others. People don't read the bible anymore. 1 Corinthians 11:19 tells us that the clique/faction is unapproved by God. Whoa! And God uses them to highlight the truly saved that are around them. When do you hear that preached? James 2 tells us that to reject favoritism. I think in these times we need a deeper wisdom and a bolder courage to know what to do. I think there is a time for grace. But I rarely see a time of genuine and just confrontation and accountability. I think that's mostly because half the church is unsaved (Matthew 7:21-23, 1 John 2:19 & The Book of Jude).
@LetsGrowinChrist2 жыл бұрын
We’re commanded to honor/respect leaders, governors, parents etc…. But I think we should also never support abuse etc… all things should be done in order … and the word of God is also to be used for rebuke… I agree 😀👍🏻

What do you mean?
@joeybyington33882 жыл бұрын
Christ's said "don't worry about tomorrow's struggles let today be sufficient for the day" so I don't believe it's a sin really to be somewhat worried it's when we start to forget about GOD and what he can do for us if we let him and a lot of people are like the Israelites who only knew of GOD and very few are like Moses who actually knew GOD. I mean did not even Moses who knew him face to face have stress? So I don't believe it's a sin but it shows your Faith in GOD for sure the more you stress the less Faith in GOD you have. Read The Holy Bible Everyday and study and GOD loves you all

I agree with your comment but at the end of the day does God approve of a lack of faith?

As a father and a responsible man, I would never ever have my daughter nor any woman; other than my love to sit on my lap. This is a boundary that I will never allow nor cross. I can hold her hands, cross my arms across her shoulders but this is too sensual for father unto daughter.

“STRESS A SIN?” Your headline is so stupid. Jesus sweat blood he was so stressed out. You make me sick. How dare you try to shame people for being human.
@LetsGrowinChrist Жыл бұрын
Did you hear the sermon? Do you never read scriptures in the Bible about “not worrying but instead having faith”? And also the title has a question mark at the end…. Calm down
@sk8nchill52 Жыл бұрын
@@LetsGrowinChrist I did! You have a click bait title with a shitty message attached, so I called it out. I’m not surprised though. Should Jesus have “not worried but instead had faith” when he was having stress? Your response is typical of someone that memorizes the Bible without understanding it, using verses out of context to control those around you. So again, how dare you try to shame people for being human. God gave us a full range of emotions for a reason, you should learn how to deal with them, not ignore them.
