@franciscomadero3584

+Jabzy Well Maximilian wasnt a tyrant nor a absolut imperialist like many people think, through his short reign here he tried to stablish a parlament (even tried to get Juaréz inside the parlament) and try new liberal reforms including education, wich was kind of a problem in the country because more than half of the population couldn't read or write, and also here in México we aren't fans of U.S. getting inside the borders or making what they desire for us, and Maximilian wasn´t fan of them either, in the end, Juaréz didn't make a lot from the country and it was probably that, if he hasn't died in his new unconstitutional presidency (He was reelected ilegally), he would have become another Santa Anna or Porfirio Díaz (Well not exactly Díaz because he wouldn't have industrialized the country but you catch my meaning haha).

+Jabzy Emperor Maximilian decreed many things revoked after his death like banning child labor, hereditary debts, or corporal punishment to the workers in the ranchs and haciendas; things that would not be achieved again until after the revolution in the 20th century. Some things, like the obligation of the state to declare its income and expenses every month, are not to our reach even today. He was actually a very liberal and ahead of his time ruler, same as Carlota, and that's why he lost support of the conservadores, who where so backwards that they were actually more conservative than the royal courts of europe they worshiped. By the way i think that you forgot to mention that the conservatives in mexico had a role in bringing a european house to rule Mexico, and they made the treaty of Miramar in the castle with that name in Austria, to bring him. I know its too much dwelving in a particular country, but if you ever would do a video on the mexican revolution it would be so cool. Thanks for your videos i live them! i hope you visit Mexico city, i study history in UNAM, and maybe you would like to know the campus

Riley Miller the plan was that after conquering Mexico, the French were going to help the confederates win the war. Anyhow, the Americans didn’t backstab the French because Laffayette, a French general helped the thirteen colonies and when us troops landed in Europe for ww1 to help France the soldiers screamed “laffayette laffayette we’re here!”

Aye yes forget about the liberation of France during WW2 and helping rebuilding it. France invades Mexico our of imperial interest. The US didn’t want to be surrounded by the imperial powers of Europe and thus acted according to its interest.

US sent approximately 30,000 rifles and supplies to Mexico from Baton Rouge; also the US sent thousands of troops which were Union veterans from the American Civil War. It was with their support that the Mexican Republicans were finally able to defeat the French Empire and recapture Mexico City from Maximilian I. like he said because we where really about to get in it we where even going to send are Navy and a larger Army. so France said fuck it and gave up we pretty much won the war for them dumbass

They have done it with a similar size country (probably more populated back them) called Philipines. But doing it with Mexico itself didn't worth the effort, Mexico had a sizable population, it would back up a fight, and a resistance after the war, and USA companies interesteds were already secureted anyway.

There are two options: 1 You are mexican 2 You aint mexican It doesnt matter if your ancestors where from somewhere else you were born in Mexico therefore you are mexican, theres a lot of mexican people on the internet saying that they descend from europe, i say screw them.
