Had the honor of meeting Frank and found him to be one of the nicest people ever, humble, friendly warm, very easy to talk to, funny and an all round nice guy as well as hearing his infectious laugh 1 to 1. Genuinely feel sad that he has gone through this and hope he is now well and wish him happiness and peace. You are always the Champ Frank..

Weightlifters physique which in honesty did him no favours. Tyson did hours on the bags Bruno did hours on the weights. In my humble opinion he was miss managed and could have become a much better fighter if he had the correct training regime. That being said he is still a legend in my book.

I agree, but the same can be said of many fighters. If Chisora had a trainer like Eddie Fudge he might have been another Joe Frazier. Or look at Joseph Parker since he switched to Andy Lee. What would Bruno have been if he was trained by Manuel Stewart? We’ll never know. I think boxing is full of charlatan couches.

I said this before a million times, he was actually mis developed, Tibbs moved away from his natural fighting style that he used as an amateur, wider stance, pivoting behind the left jab for the uppercuts and hooks that he was forte...Yep the physical training hit his movement in the ring...

Mental health is a real thing , I was diagnosed with cancer and a brain tumour in 2019 then a relationship break up in the same year. Then covid hit and I was advised to shield. I turned to drink and my mental health took a nose dive. And I was fucked, I went through shit it’s 2014 now and I am still not there yet.

Mental health has been realised as an illness, but the old school (stiff upper lip brigade) don’t and can’t understand and so many normal people don’t understand unless someone they know or love suffers in some way. My ex has a daughter who is on antidepressants and suffers anxiety and depression and she doesn’t have a clue or chooses to ignore it. (If I ignore it, it’s not there) thanks for replying.

Watching that 7th round highlights again vis a vis Lewis, Bruno closed too near to Lewis he should have kept more distance, feigned it with his left and then unlocked a straight right cross..would it have worked, maybe or maybe not..but it would have been a better 'play'..He was a high quality punch from the title that night..

Frank fought legends in Mike Tyson Lennox Lewis. Come on Frank with a journeyman Boxer that some people liked and that is all. Legend? In 96, they took a point away from Bruno in the SECOND round for excessive holding. I thought when he got knocked out, that he was going to pull Tyson down on top of him. I've seen people hold when it's the 10+ round because of exhaustion. From the opening bell, it was his strategy. He didn't go to fight and definitely not to win. He went for a paycheck. I've never seen a point taken away so early in a fight because of holding. He held in the first fight too. A lot but it wasn't his strategy. I lost all respect for him afer that 2nd fight. A legend? You guys sure use that word loosely.
