It’s funny , Kobe always got dissed and trashed for not going to the club and partying with his teammates . But while they were at the club partying he was at home studying editing videos and learning how to write stories, when they were hungover at 4 am he was in the gym working out and playing basketball , and now he’s won an Oscar and is a top 7 NBA player in history lol, there’s a lesson in that and hard work always pays off ......

pfunk42 uh Russell is probably the most decorated player in nba history. Wilt basically owns the records books and he’s not just number one on some of these lists but 1,2,3. Magic and Duncan are nicely decorated too. You said Kareem of course. Bird could arguably be more decorated as well. That’s 6 and all the players I mentioned were more efficient and could be argued as more skilled (except magic and Russell) or just as high iq as Kobe.

“When I talk to you in 5 years” How devastating a statement, never knowing he wouldn’t survive another year. What an enormous loss. Kobe was such a visionary that wanted to create mechanisms, using stories or animated films, to inspire young kids to become the best they can be in the world via athletic conditioning. I only hope all of the leaders he employed at Mamba Academy will remain loyal to his vision and continue to build on the foundation he established to put out the best and brightest back into our communities as leaders. Maybe it will be them that will erase all of the negativity and division that other “so called” leaders have stoked for selfish reasons. People need to see themselves in each other, hate less, empathize more, help each other more, judge less, care more. Everyone should heed his mentality, work hard and be the best that you can possibly be, just make sure it’s something you love.

Frank... Great job. Kobe Bryant was so hands on in the evolving process of all that he accomplished. He is truly at the center AND at the helm of his work at the SAME TIME. Although Kobe isn’t here, what he seems to want all of us to grasp is that the Mumba mentality IS here. And it manifests itself with specificity in each person. In what ways does my full blown Mumba mentality manifest itself? Is it ever full blown or does it keep expanding? Clearly, its a limitless mindset. Even when we are no longer here...MAMBA IS. That’s the seed he wanted to plant, particularly in young fertile minds-though it’s never too late for anyone to be better today than they were yesterday. Greatness... is what happens when you surrender to, as Kobe calls it, the Mamba Mentality.
