Major takeaways from the interview: 1. Have patience. 2. Always forward to the next chapter because not everything lasts forever. 3. Be curious. 4. If you have passion for something, spend time protecting the craft. 5. If you have an obsession to figure it out, you'll figure it out. 6. Even some of the top people make mistakes. 7. It's about all of us, not just one person 8. The basic fundamentals come first 9. Practice as if it was the real thing 10. Regular people ask regular questions.

i think what he was trying to say is that Kobe is very articulate for a guy with only a high school education. Which is actually pretty fair to say. College does not teach you real world experience i agree! However, college does educate your in more advanced vocab. You are exposed to a lot more scientific language, and advanced vocabulary in a college setting. People who disagree obviously never went to college. College is not for everyone yall. College is a complete waste of time for some while it will define their financially stability for others.

I'd offer former Senator Bill Bradley as an example of someone WHO MAY have been smarter...but nobody I've seen is more driven to overcome whatever in order to achieve their goals. Kobe may not have been as gifted as MJ, but if it had been possible for a guy who WORKED HARD ENOUGH surpass MJ, Kobe is the one who would have done it.

If you think about it... it was society that ultimately caused the death of Kobe Bryant. The fact that people created so much traffic.. he just couldn't take it and used his millions to make life convenient for him and bought a helicopter. Little did he know that buying that helicopter would be THE reason that he, his daughter, and 7 other people would die in the end.

And of course if the crash was foreseeable then he would have gone another direction. BUT...he didn't JUST do it to make HIS life easier, he did it in a way that he could also help OTHERS. I respect that a whole lot. People always talk about how selfish they think he was, but he's always been about helping OTHERS be the best THEY can be, to get the most out of life or out of their basketball careers as was possible. So no, kobe wasn't nearly as selfish as people think. When it came to basketball, kobe felt RESPONSIBLE for his team's winning or not. People also think he was about the records & stats, but look how often he left games early with 50+ or 60+ pts because it was a 20 pt deficit starting the 4th quarter. If he was about HIS stats above all else he'd have been demanding to go back in to break some records. But when Phil asked him to dial the offense back (his 40 point scoring streak) because they were "losing the big fella" and they'd be needing him in June, kobe said, OK." The man wanted to WIN more than anything.

36:35 Kobe starts talking about why he invested in helicopters... bro... he literally did that to have more time for family and other events, always working harder to be the best version of himself for the people around him 😔🥺😪

Love hearing Kobe connect the dots. Whether it was basketball or business, he attributed his success to the same aspects - attention to detail, curiosity, standard of excellence. Miss this guy man.

Didn't think I could become a bigger fan of Kobe's. He is a goat on and off the court hands down.

I think about Kobe every single day. He is a top 2 ever. Despite the narrative of certain media and manipulation of stats. God/the universe bless.

Kobe is truly a genius of basketball. It’s crazy how he talks about the game, for me I never thought about the game from an analytical or computation side I really just went out an played.

There is one thing that I was wondering about: Why was Kobe driving to Staples to train at 4am when he could build a gym at his own place and just go there for regular team practice?
