Today's famous Grave visit, I pay tribute and visit the final resting place of legendary comedian Frank Carson.
Hugh Francis Carson KSG (6 November 1926 - 22 February 2012) was a Northern Irish comedian and actor from Belfast. He was best known for being a regular face on television for many years from the 1970s onwards, appearing in series such as The Comedians and Tiswas. His trademark line was "It's the way I tell them!". Carson was a member of the entertainment charity the Grand Order of Water Rats.

I once met Frank at Heathrow terminal one departures. He came over and told us a joke just to us. I didn’t actually get the joke, but I still laughed because it was the mighty Frank Carson. What a guy and what a trooper.

A lovely man . saw him in the isle of man just walking in the distance . i shouted Frank and he replied .Its the way i tell em . i have never forgot that moment . i am now 74 .

I honestly hadn't realised Frank Carson was buried at home. I thought he was buried in Blackpool. Thank you again for showing us his resting place.

Frank used to come into The Belfry a lot when i worked there. He was such a lovely man and always told his jokes. Just himself...no airs and graces..... rest in peace Frank. One of the best. Thanks Paul xxxx

My partner & I see him in a private room at the back of a pub which was in Wood Street Walthamstow, it was demolished for flats. He was so very friendly, he welcomed everyone as they walked through the door, he shook us by the hand & gave us a signed photo. A true funny comic legend.

Met him several times at the Houses of Parliament, where he was a regular visitor. More than once, he cracked the joke, 'My wife has been in labour so long they've had to shave her twice'. Although I heard it twice it was funny because, "It's the way I tell em".

I remember when comedian Bernard Manning died. There was a documentary. Apparently Frank Carsen was a good friend of Bernard's . And when Bernard was diagnosed with a terminal illness . Frank conducted his funeral.....A beautiful cemetery. A lovely resting place . Thanks Paul for this one ...

Worked next to frank many times when I was a resident DJ at the willows Salford rugby club in the 70s and 80s,what you see on TV is exactly as he was, a wonderful person.

Thanks Paul, a great tribute to the late great Frank Carson. My grand parents met him in Blackpool, early 80’s. They said he was funnier than on screen, had time for everyone, a true gentleman and very down to earth. What an interesting and full life he had. May Frank R.I.P. 🙏

He lived near me in Blackpool. Used to bump into him with his wife in Marks Food Hall all the time. Was so funny. His wife was used to him chatting. She would slip off and do her shopping 😊. He was so friendly. He was laid to rest in the church near me in Blackpool. Obviously now back in his homeland. Brilliant x

We sang as a family group growing up and we're part of a variety show, Frank was part of these and the first time I met him I was about 15 and the show was in Ballgallget Co down . He waso funny and told me I had a lovely speaking voice !!!

I saw him on the steps leading down to "The Dungeon" that's the nickname for the old taxi rank at Euston when it was underground. He was in the queue for the cabs being it early morning and I could hear all this laughter coming from the people waiting. When I looked it was Frank entertaining his captive audience and he was bloody funny! I just wish I got him that day but sadly some other lucky sod got him instead.😊
