Frank Fitzsimmons, The Mob & The Teamsters Union - 1978.
Teamsters President Frank Fitzsimmons was investigated in 1976 for failing to perform his fiduciary duties as a trustee on the Teamsters' Central States Pension Fund, and forced to resign from the board of trustees in 1977.
The U.S. Departments of Labor and Justice first began investigating the fund in January 1976.
He was subpoenaed by both the U.S. Senate's Committee on Labor and Public Welfare and by the Labor Department, and testified in public and private regarding loans the pension fund made to certain mob-related businesses and the fund's operations.

@@williamrogers9004 Hoffa could tell them no..what are you talking about? Hoffa was pissed because he wanted to be back in the limelight., he was going to rat on the mob because they weren't letting him back in. Hoffa was a mob backed president of the union, that's what he was, never forget that..

The Teamster's rank and file were crooked, too - otherwise they wouldn't have tolerated mobsters and other bums in their leadership.

Growing up we'd hear this on the tv all the time. My Uncle Jimmy (Not Hoffa) was the President of the Teamsters here in BC and we'd all laugh and joke that he was Mafia. He wasn't, just a hard working trucker who rose to the job.
@vanmoody
@vanmoody 3 жыл бұрын
Fitzsimmons didn't, "let" organized crime be involved with teamsters business. The mob put him in there. The reason why Hoffa was wacked was because he wanted back in to lead the Teamsters after being in prison. The mob liked Fitzsimmons in there.
@markstevens1729

Yeah, Hoffa made the mistake of thinking he had power, enough power to say no to the mob when he felt like it. He was wrong.
@portugal5698
@portugal5698 Жыл бұрын
@@markstevens1729you said it. If those same people had the power to kill a sitting president in broad daylight along w/ 100+ testifying witnesses w/ absolutely no consequences, they sure as hell would do it to a pain in their ass like Hoffa. Funny thing is, he knew this as he was the one who planned the hit w/ those same people who led to his own demise. Such a shame though because unlike many in the union, he was passionate about his job and stood up for the working man which is why the middle class thrived during his and the mob’s era. Then all of a sudden once the mob is gone and can’t keep the greedy politicians in check, the people became miserable slaves with crime at an all time high!

Of all the mob factions the one mob family that could put some light on this case is The Detroit Partnership. Unfortunately they are still keeping their mouth shut...

@@larrysune2659 Is everybody who was involved with the Detroit Partnership dead during that time? The answer is an obvious yes. Could the Detroit Partnership put some light on this very case? The obvious answer is once again yes. Will they? Most likely no they will not. Mob secrets are very much like priceless family heirlooms. Detroit Partnership are so tight lipped every member is somehow related to another member and another and so on. They know if they talk they got trouble at all ends. Even in witness protection. Now that is a cardinal rule in all mob families. Whether it be the 5 NY families, Patriarca/Decalvacante, The Chicago Outfit, Trafficante family. Some experts believe that the Yakuza or The Chinese Triads will talk first. Along with the Russian and Irish mob...

Go to JohnAliteFacts.com He is an absolute BS artist. Even when he's not completely lying, what he will do is take a bit of truth and embellish it to make people he doesn't like look bad. For example Jimmy Calandra and Gene Gotti had some issues while in prison which is true. Then Alite embellished that truth and gave a story claiming Calandra slapped Gotti. Calandra came out and said that never happened, exposing him. Just because there's mugshots of the guy and things like that, doesn't back up anything he says. Declassified FBI files prove countless claims of his to be lies. Alite even claimed that he, an Albanian/non Italian low level associate, went on one on one walk meetings with John Gotti Senior in the late 80s. I feel pity for anyone naive enough to fall for this con artist.
