Johnny p. Alan Hudson was a seriously good skilful midfielder in the same style of play as Tony Currie. Although he was good for Chelsea I think he really blossomed at Stoke. The players today are multi millionaires and are very fit and athletic. But if the players of the 70s were playing today with the diet and training methods they would still be great players. Good luck from a Evertonian.

Often wondered to my-self that what if Arsenal didn't move over to North London from South and there was only one side in North London. @@antonyware9887 Agree mate, but London has the North East South West as you know. In Manchester for example "Maybe they do but it doesn't get highlighted on what part of Manchester they are from...the Derby is just a Manchester derby...the big one in London is never just a London derby it is highlighted as The North London derby. If Millwall got to play West Ham on a regular basis it would be the South/East London derby. And you know what I don't know what the fuck I'm on about lol
@antonyware9887Ай бұрын
@@yourpreciousprints2586 the north-west is an interesting case. Greater Manchester fades into Merseyside and the big four get support from surrounding towns, such as Warrington, Widnes, St Helens. You’ve then got Bolton , Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Wigan, Stockport, Salford, all greater Manchester and all with big populations. And then a spit away you have Burnley, Blackburn, Preston etc. It’s very congested,

@@antonyware9887 England is a crazy place mate. For example here could you tell me in towns like you have mentioned is it a big majority that don't follow the local clubs and follow the Four in the premiership...I have a lot of friends in Bolton that follow Tottenham week in week out. I live in Essex and I would say it's 45 percent West Ham 30 percent Tottenham and Arsenal... and the rest of other London Clubs plus Man United and Liverpool 25 percent...I'm just on a curious one here lol

@@yourpreciousprints2586 ayup again pal. I actually live in South Yorkshire and equi-distant between Rotherham, Barnsley and Wednesday, about 6/7 miles, Bramall Lane is 10 miles away but very easy to get to. I’m a Blades fan. The Dearne Valley where I am ,has a large population and shared between Donny, Rotherham and Barnsley. Each club gets support from their nearest areas, formerly numerous coal mining villages and small towns. The Blades, Wednesday and Leeds are also well supported but it’s overwhelmingly support for Wednesday. My area is split 40% Barnsley, 40% Wednesday 10% Blades, 10% Leeds. Generally speaking back in the 1960s 1970s Man Utd got huge support from the area, many attending games. They’ve always taken a supporters coach to each home match. I’m sure it was the same from Donny, Rotherham, Barnsley. Obviously it’s difficult to attend Old Trafford now, (season tickets), so that’s largely dried up. I lived in Manchester for three years and City hated United and they both hated scousers. I think that the decline and disappearance of Bury, Oldham, Rochdale for example is due to their proximity to Manchester. Fortunately Stockport have revived, Wigan and especially Bolton get good gates. Sorry to be so long winded.
