East Harlem in the house...That was a pretty harsh assessment of a song about a man looking back on his life as he approaches the "twilight years". There is nothing " pathetic" about songs that reflect on the past experiences. Many recording artist use that story line. Audiences are often interested in songs written about someone's "life" in general, especially when their personal life makes headlines in the news media. Besides, anyone who enjoyed Frank Sinatra's music (during his life and after) knows that he and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra worked together for many years. Peace ✌️

ENOMA : Composed in '61, by Ervin Drake, arranged & produced in late '64, for Sinatra, by his #1 producer at the time, Sonny Burke. Recorded at Warner Music Studios, for his album, " The Septemember Of My Years " , the song itself was a modest hit on AM Top 40 radio in early '65. The manner he sang it was with total passion as you would see if you watched his mannerisms during g the recording WHiICH YOU COULD DO RIGHT NOW!” One of the absolute best performances of all time! You have a right to your view, but I must say that I'm sure that it is a minority view; people familiar with Frank Sinatra know that Nelson Riddle orchestrated the song.

Frank Sinatra and Willie Nelson both have this way of making you think they will miss the timing of a note but then they pull it off somehow. Pretty amazing, really.

Melodious 60s song about life stages🌿You are right this song is in fact a cover but it won FS a Grammy. At the height of his fame, he could sing anything and it would be a hit of some sort He was to his gen what MJ is to your gen 🌴 Good reaction K&S 🍃 Hv a nice day 🌤️

The song is about a person passing from a teenager to man to older person involving romance he had gone through! It is a retrospective romantic, sentimental song!😊 One of the best Frank Sinatra song IMO because he Frank live it with his many romantic ladies in his life!😊 Sinatra was a lady’s man, old blue eyes!😀 This was 2 or 3 of his songs that he sung that actually won a grammy award! 😀👍
