I went to music school with Frank in 1981...Even as a 15 year old kid, he played like this.I learned a lot from him...Namely, always improve and learn music correctly. Trust me, Frank is a MASTER of music.

My favourite piece of guitar music on KZbin this past year. (Must get round to learning this piece - ooer!) Love the whole arrangement, and especially the funny Hank Marvin bits. Beutifully played by all three and some technical wizardary as well. A great piece of entertainment on three guitars - a lesson to everyone who plays out.

I was lucky enough to get two lessons from Mr. Vignola a little over 10 years ago and it changed my playing forever. For one thing, an exchange: "What's that?" he said when I opened my guitar case. "It's a capo." "I don't want to see that again. Learn to play in every key!" And he was right! God bless you, Frank! Hope you and your family are well.
@joepalooka21452 жыл бұрын
Actually Frank is wrong. While he is entirely 100% correct that every guitarist should learn the full neck in every key------ the use of a capo has far more uses than just for playing chords. It changes the register and can give you really beautiful new harmonies as you go up the neck. There's many great songs that have been written with capos higher up the neck, because it makes the chords so much brighter and really excellent for singing. Sorry Frank.

this is wonderful, and who can say if Beethoven himself wouldn't have been flattered? i also hope that it inspires some to go back (or for the first time maybe?) and listen to a good version of Beethoven's Fifth symphony and any others. there is a reason why Beethoven is still big 200 years after changing the world with his music. Beethoven speaks to all of us across time, distance, language, age, .... he simply wrote some of the most perfect and beautiful music that will ever exist. imho.

Honestly, I came here to judge because my overbearing skepticism made me click this link in disbelief someone would actually try to "shred" the fifth. After watching this video, my mind has been completely changed. There is nothing like having your expectations blown out of the water and to stumble upon great music. This is an extraordinary piece.

Never heard of him a week ago and now I'm a fan. He just played here (Ottawa) at some little place for like 50 people. He should be selling out major venues. What are, to me, the two best first movements in the symphonic literature (Beethoven's 5th; Mozart's 40th), played as a samba, and as a REALLY FAST samba. And there's some improv in there... ...and it's choreographed, slightly. This is beyond brilliant.
