A Beautiful Question : Finding Nature’s Deep Design
Physicists often talk of the beauty of their picture of the world. But what exactly do we mean ? Are we kidding ourselves ? What does this kind of “beauty" have to do with beauty in art and music ? And if we truly identify beauty in the fundamental laws of nature : Why does it happen ? What does it mean ? Those are the kinds of questions I’ll explore, aided by some striking images.
Physicien américain Frank Wilczek est, avec H. David Politzer et David Gross, colauréat du prix Nobel de physique de 2004 « pour leur découverte de la liberté asymptotique dans la théorie de l'interaction forte ». Il travaille sur plusieurs domaines, physique de la matière condensée, astrophysique et physique des particules.

nice topic, he carefully and professionally presents the ideas, very informative. but the pauses in his speech makes it hard for me to immerse in the talk.

I am not smart enough to follow to detail. Yet I cannot help but hear his themes and terms and think of Abraham faith reconciliation: text as data or equations, big bang as in the various forms of biblical text-form-etc criticism, documentary theory broken up, and the Highs boson, unity, beauty, super symmetry, large and small, particular and universal unity, bringing together the various pieces into unified whole....identifying negative separative pieces of data, three equations (Jew, Christian and Muslim), multiverse AND super symmetry...see work of von Rad and documentary theory that proposes that the Torah and hence Israel blended separate narratives P,J,E into a unified whole. Can it happen again (and with help from the Buddhists/Dalai Lama. Thank u Frank, always enjoy at least the energy and terminology as I listen without trying to grasp that which I cannot.
