This is what makes FZ the greatest rock guitarist ever,his ability to improvise for so long ,never repeat and always take his solos to new heights,lead the band in different directions,never use the same sound,and always change his style.He was ,is and will always be the greatest composer/ instrimentalist of the 20th Century,I cry every time I think that I was smart enough to experience him live over 25 times from 74-88,when I was just 14 in 74 to today he still amazed me.Frank manipulated the guitar like no one else and he was another great Italian,Absolutely the greatest musical mind to ever live.

Hey you're 2 years older than me and I'm still rediscovering my big bro's good taste in music. Frank was a genius that still lives today in my mind in a very real spiritual sense. His harmony with the world on the big stage is only paralleled by his defiance of the norms of society. He's close to my heart.💜✌™

Frank Zappa fought the long hard fight with shiraz, pizzazz, shiraz and the best jazz that dirty, filthy money can buy. I met him in my dreams. That's where you can meet him too if you're lucky enough. This music is unequalled, unrivalled and unapologetically unwavering in it's defiance of norm storm and the techno reform. Thanks br1tag, you're not half bad yourself. Top shelf tome.

My garbage neighbors blast their shit music all hours of the day, all week. Even when I say nicely , “can you please turn it down” they just laugh at me. So , 2 weeks ago when we went on vacation, I turned my speakers towards our shared wall and looped this cd ( The torture never stops) on full blast...we were gone for 6 days. When we came home, all my neighbors had Zappa mustaches...even the baby.

Jesus There's not one darn video that you make that I don't absolutely love. I was in the ICU in the hospital for almost two weeks(in 2008) after a dentist tried to kill me with an abscess tooth......tracheotomy.....couldn't speak and had to write on a piece of paper to communicate. My Sister brought my ipod and I played this song over and over till I was out.....and with all the drugs that they gave me....it was a wild ride to say the least.....when you have nurses coming in EVERY hour for 14 days to jam a tube even further down your throat.....THE TOURTURE....truly never stops. I wish I could recall what live version it was.....every version I hear doesn't seem to click... it was definitely brutal.... living in that dungeon of dispair along with Frank's characters for that time period of my life. Thoes screams are genuine!!!!! Thanks.....yet again 🤙

Amazing work, BR1TAG. From childhood I found "The Torture Never Stops" depressing (but salient during the Cold War era & today as well) and avoided it. But your compilation is edifying, entertaining and deeply fascinating to say the least... ...allowing me to re-engage with this song most wonderfully. Thank you for taking the time and effort to create this unique study of FZ's evolving guitar solo work on "The Torture Never Stops". It's a testament to both FZ's talent and your own intense passion for the music. Again, thank you BR1TAG. And btw I could not help but notice the other Zappa compilations you've created and posted to KZbin. Again: amazing work!

R.I.P. Frank. When I first heard the first 4 albums in 1974 at the age of 14 through my friend's older brother, I knew that this was my great music. I didn't realize the true meaning of the lyrics until much later. Frank Zappa stands not only for a new music, but also for a philosophy of life! Love from Germany.
@MatChew7522 күн бұрын
Yeah I totally concur I'm addicted to Frank's guitar solos and I'm a freaking drummer and I cannot get enough of his music I just can't it just keeps pulling me back everyday specially his guitar solos and all these great mixes you have of his guitar craft he had such an amazing talent on that guitar I mean his sound was so signature but yet he played things so differently every night but the way that his guitar spoke to the crowd speaks to me and speaks to his being is unparalleled in the universe of guitars & the men or women who play them. But it wouldn't be near as good as it was if it wasn't for the amazing musicians that he brought aboard as well that played behind him and felt what he was feeling like Patrick and Terry I mean I still think that those two are the best Rhythm Section he's ever had in the way his influence took them to another level. I mean any musician he was with he took them to another level that was just absolutely brilliant. Thanks Frank, you Madman.

I wear headphones with a micro SD card loaded with your solo stuff - thank you SO MUCH !! As much as I love Frank, after 42 years of owning ALL his albums, I find that these solo uploads are all I listen to now, because any lyrics just distracts me from being totally focused at work, because I tend to sing along, and I know every note by heart on most songs, but the solo uploads are not as structured and are perfect for keeping things fresh........I've enjoyed this upload for the last 4 years......Thank you so much Imbindiu......Stay well brother.

Mr. B., this collection is WOW. The way you organized the pieces presents The Torture as an Aria with 29 Variations. This is 🤯. The solos are great. Each and every one. The guy was On Duty. Every show. So many states of mind... Searching for the elusive something, that is never found, and so many times in fact Zappa reaches to where the guitar cannot go any further... I call this "the death of the guitar."

@@br1tag Bruno, only now I saw this comment. Strange, but many times, many MANY times I've said the same thing about such solos: this is the death of the guitar. By that I mean, it is NOT POSSIBLE to express more human emotion with the guitar. After that, there must be silence. Only silence.

He is as credible As It Gets ....he wS a genius and his love for music was beyond what most people I've ever listened to. I mean I put him ahead of John McLaughlin Allan Holdsworth Steve Howe( he's amazing), Alex lifeson Jimi Hendrix Pete Townsend Eric Clapton Larry Coryell Martin barre David Gilmour and even Robert Fripp as hard as it was to put Frank ahead of him I had to
