Great work Dan. I am not sure how the shortened stem fudged the movement but I am glad you sorted it out. Spectacular watch in the end. Maybe you can setup an Amazon affiliate WMWW store and feature some of the tools you use in these mod videos.

on a 2824-2 the safest way to remove the stem is to have it in the hand setting position and use a 1.2mm screwdriver to press the release button very slightly, this helps to prevent the keyless works from getting jacked up. Keyless can be sorted if it gets messed up

Sad times! We all learn better when we learn together. On another note... that website has some interesting kits and I have many extra Calvin Kleins. My black one is now out of the rotation as I've used the strap I had it on for a Dufrane GMT, and my white one has been replaced with the Rose Gold one I just got, and my blue one is now a teal Zelos Nova. That gives me 3 2824s to work with. Hmmm. I might have a new Type B Flieger soon.

Nice mod video, I love those. I have a modded SKX which I just bought for further modding, just to try and see how hard it is. Always seems fiddly with removing/placing of the hands, but I guess patience is your friend. This flieger came out really great. That l2l size would be too big for me personally, but it's a beauty. But what really happened with the original movement (maybe you've already mentioned that in some earlier video and I've forgot)?

I feel your pain. I've modded many watches but I just tried to frankenwatch a vintage Difor into a Parnis case and movement and ruined the dial beyond saving. Oh well! Esslinger and Otto Frei and maybe even Amazon sell boxes of watch crown stems of various sizes and threads just for this kind of boo boo, I know I've needed them too!

Nice Mod! My CK mod is slightly less ambitious with just the Dial, hands and rotor being changed. Don't beat yourself up about the stem, I changed an ST 2813 movement for a Miyota 8215 because of the second hand stutter and broke the second hand spindle on TWO movements so now I have two , two handed dress watches to make! :-)

I looked for literally hours for a dial that would swap out with the CK one, its a weird size, so couldn't source one. That's another reason why I opted for a complete change!
