I just wanted to comment the same thing, that Richard Osman played devil's advocate. But he also made some good points. TV should not be a place were literally everything goes, and the nuance of Frankie's Katie Price joke may be lost on the average viewer. Frankie is right in most of what he says, but he dodges some of those questions. Richard and Frankie have always had these discussion. I remember in one of his autopsies, Frankie proposed that Hollywood should be burned to the ground and Richard had the more sensible position.

Fantastic example of two very intelligent people addressing serious issues. How many other ‘comedians’ would or could use the phrase ‘ad hominem’ when talking about popular TV comedy? Frankie is not an outstanding performer by chance or because he dares like some thug to break the boundaries; it’s because - as he tries to explain - his routines and every single ‘joke’ is premeditated, assessed and intelligently conceived prior to its delivery. As he says, it’s not about ‘banter’. His brilliant performances do not come by accident but from intelligent, informed and highly deliberated planning and scripting. In effect, asking him if he ‘regrets’ or would reconsider any of his material is actually a redundant question if you understand the processes that have led to any of his performances. If it is ever ‘off the cuff’ then that cuff is from Saville Row.

Why is Frankie not interviewing Richard with a Saltire emblazoned on his chest? Thought experiment perhaps

Poor interview from Osmond here, this wasn't conversational, it was an agenda pushing a point regardless of how Boyle responded. Frankie Boyle was graciously erudite throughout. I've never fully been on board with his comedy but he's right, you know what you are getting when you watch him, it's not for everyone and nor should it be.

Lots of people on here slagging Richard but now Boyle has received his woke lobotomy.

To watch this I needed to focus. So I mixed a honey & CBD oil base with a 18/12/30/40 blend of mushrooms, heroin, LSD and fentanyl.

Wave goodbye to controversial comedians as the new era of the funny police take over soon to be confined to the history books. Along with all other British comedy shows

Boyle just joined the funny police squad! He apparently finds Ricky Gervais jokes offensive and lazy!

Safe to say that richard osman is in the 'offended by frankie' camp.
