Growing up, my family was composed entirely of IN-- types, so our games nights looked a little different. The INFPs (my mother and brother) had the most extreme strategies. My mum used what we call the "Woe is me" strategy. She would accuse people of ganging up on her, so that they would feel bad, and she'd have time for a slow build to victory. (Family never fell for this strategy, but it never failed to fool people who hadn't encountered it.) My brother's strategy was always just to torpedo as many people as possible on his way out, if he didn't see a road to victory. My dad (INTJ) and I (INTP) always went with less... explosive strategies. We tended to try to logic our way to victory.

We also had a lot in common as far as our hobbies and interests (but there were definite differences there too). However, actually living together was a struggle. He had this idealistic perception of the person he wanted me to be, and I kept falling short of it, while he attributed motives to me that simply weren't true. He kept being disappointed, basically, that I wasn't stronger in Sensing and never understood my Introverted Intuition (though at the time we didn't know about cognitive functions). Also, his Fi couldn't handle that my Fe wanted to pay attention to other people in my community and not just him. Eventually I had to learn to appreciate myself and get out of that toxic situation. Of course everyone's experience is different. He was also Gemini, so I think that caused some of his traits to manifest themselves more strongly, and my Taurus self couldn't handle all the instability. I could see INFJs and INFPs working if they understand well what they are getting into from the start. In my case, we really didn't. That camping scene felt like it could have been my family. I think we're a mom/daughter duo of INFPs (though I'm still unsure about me) with an ESTJ dad and ENTP son, but pretty close. I literally have a video of my daughter, at 6-ish, sitting on the floor of a doctor's room, meditating and chanting "Ommmm..." while my son, 3-ish, inserts "blah blah blah" over and over as she chants to disrupt her. That video makes me laugh now that I've been learning about personality types and they were acting like such type sterotypes at such young ages.
@Takisan1112 жыл бұрын
As an INFP that hates camping, I agree with the ISTJ dad about being away from modern conveniences. My family is obsessed with camping but I hate all the dirt and the bugs and how bright it gets in the morning and that one rock that is in just the right place to make me feel like I'm the princess from Princess and the Pea. I am way more in my element in a dark room with my computer, properly refrigerated snacks, and having just enjoyed a nice shower. When it comes to marshmallows, I do sometimes wonder if the hoof powder is taken after death or before and, honestly, I'm too chicken to look it up. Also as someone with both an ESTP and an ISTP brothers, this is definitely their relationship. The ESTP provokes the ISTP for his own amusement and the ISTP either ignores him or gives it back as good as he got. How they are still so close I have no idea.

@miriamrobarts7 ай бұрын
My sister in law is a Swifty & she told me about it. TL;DR: Basically, some people purposely did mean business deals against her & she made a plan to go around it & also make more $. More details, IIRC: The recording company that Taylor worked with (so they own the rights to the recordings) decided to sell the rights, but didn't offer it to her (even though they knew she was interested), and instead sold them to someone who they knew didn't like Taylor. So Taylor decided to make her own recording label & re-record *ALL of her songs* (& she has several albums). Then she re-released all of the albums (& she has all the recording rights on the new recordings). So now as the artist & the production company, she makes more money off the new versions of the albums. She has lots of loyal fans who will only buy from her recording company, and some fans are buying the new versions, even if they already have the old version of the same album.

Hi Frank! I know how you like SCIENCE so I thought maybe you could enlighten me (ENFP - I do shower every day though) and my oldest daughter (ISFP) on a few things. We loove mbti and have been wondering if there are studies on: * whether there is a variation in percentages of each personality type from country to country (some cultures prefer introverts other extroverts and vice versa). Does that influence the percentages? * At which age is the personality type developped in a child? * Is personality type inherited/in your DNA or is it from your upbringing/experiences (or both)?

I doubt Frank will reply to this, since he doesn't seem to have the answer (and even if he did, he might not want to antagonise his fanbase by sharing such controversial statements). Type is indeed hereditary from mom to daughters, and from dad to sons. Only the subtypes (4x) change, but that can make all the difference really. You won't find this in any "professional" paper cause those don't care about type. And as an NiFe, I wonder why Si/Ne users always want some stamp of approval by some "expert" before they can accept something as true.
@tanjakragelund33802 жыл бұрын
@@loisrabies8713 😁 And it is bad for the environment as it takes energy to heat the water! I would think that it is a cultural thing how often you shower but having a younger daughter (INTP) who is very hard to convince even to shower once a week (she might change as she gets older) I guess I think that variances within the population might indeed stem from the personality type. I think I will continue showering every day for the sake of my immidiate environment though. 😁
