Phantom Stranger can't be killed as hes kept alive by the will of the Presence. Spectre tried to erase him from existence and the Stranger resisted it and even matched him in power. Even when he let himself be erased by being burned in holy fire by the angel Zauriel, the Presence kept him alive. There's nothing franklin richards can do.

Pedro Hernandez he’s matched Spectre who is above the concept of dimensions and beyond CREATION, and as said by the Voice who is an aspect of the Presence, his and Spectres power can destroy all CREATION in DC with ease. Franklin can’t even reconstruct a multiverse on his own, while PS can destroy an entire omniverse with INFINITE multiverses with ease, on top of that even though Spectre when he tries is above PS, Spectre is above PS by a lot as we saw when PS went to heaven and Spectre stomped him, PS is still below him but around his level, so yea, he ANNIHILATES Franklin, and that’s only one feat, he has others.

"The Hope of the Source", "The wrath of the Source", "The left toe of the source" - seems like too much power for the tasks he routinely involves himself with unless hes one of those conceptual beings who's "everywhere at once" like Death.....Pfffft! Seems to degrade the story of the wandering lone gunman (which is really what this is). Wandering deity slumming it... .meh. Too many pieces of the Source running around doing random stuff. Cursed Judas, 2,000 year old sorcerer - much more engaging. You can't really have fights with conceptual beings as they can "never be destroyed"..... boring. Put a limit on it and go. Death is one of the VERY few exceptions and even here is easily over used and thus degraded (I did, however, like the one in the Sand Man series as she was clearly just slumming to deal with the tedium). Most boring fight: Wrath of the Source fights the Uncertainty of the Source fights the Enui of the Source... Wrath can't be resisted, Uncertainty can't be pinned down and Enui.... really just can't be bothered to participate but no one loses... because they can't be killed.

i think darkseid is far beyond galactus since galactus along with these other deities got absolutely destroyed by thanos using one infinity stone while darkseid in MRVL VS DC killed a thanos who had the whole glove full of infinity stones easily without a single scratch as seen when he appears later on in the crossover unharmed and before anyone says "the infinity stones only work in the MRVL so of course darkseid won" the battle happened on the marvel universe since the two were on the opposite side of the tournament that took place in the DC universe.

I think the new 52 origin story is the best. Anyways phantom stranger literally got his powers directly from the presence. So he doesn't really have any limitation to his abilities. He can literally do almost anything and everything that he wants to. As long as it doesn't interfere with GOD's plan. So if defeating Richards is against GOD's plan he won't be able to do it. Anyways the reason why he can't be killed is bcoz him being alive itself is part of his punishment. He will stay alive until he completes his redemption. Like for eg angel zauriel once wiped him out of existence but he was brought back by the presence.
