These are great tips. I've been wearing wigs for 9 years and have gotten comfortable with thinning them out if I feel there is too much hair. It makes a difference in how a wig looks. But, I would caution any one who may want to try this to watch MANY KZbin videos to do it correctly.

Hi Frannie, great tips! Another nice little tool to have in the toolbox is a chalk pen, like teachers used in the past to hold the chalk when they wrote on the blackboard. I use one all the time to make my part stand out more. If you have a fair complexion the white chalk works well to look like scalp and it is so easy to use. I keep it right in my makeup bag. It stays a little better than powder too and works very well on basic cap wigs to get down in that permatease and make it took like there's a part there.

That’s an awesome tip! I am going to try that. Thank you for sharing!💕

Once again, I am delighted by your content. Your site is really one-stop shopping for tips, product and support. I love it that you adopt tips that were gleaned from wig wearers all over the world. The scar tape and the four-finger “rule” are excellent tips that others who came before you have passed on to both newbies and long-haulers. There is so much more content out there than when I started on my journey 6 plus years ago. We are all sisters here and this type of info needs to be shared. “Make it your own”. is a great motto, btw. Don’t we all want to look and feel like our best selves in whatever we wear and make the most of what we have? Thanks, Frannie!

Thank you I have a wig so similar though in a colour to match my own. I was about to box it and put it away as a lost cause coz it just looked fake! I thinned it out a little down lower part and flattened it with lots of brushing to make it look not so puffed up where the permatease was. The only thing I did a bit different to you was I sprinkled baby powder over it and fluffed it through and it dulled the overshiney look nicely. Thank you it’s one of my favourites now!

Frannie…hi.Happy New year to you and family. I love the noriko wig..Rene of Paris. Size petite. Basic cap. But I’ve got some questions. I think my head(from ear to ear) is very small. I’ll write you an email about it. And you told me about a heating tool…..not the super expensive one. There was another one. She’s synthetic. I’ve only worn around my home. Been one heck of a year, Frannie. And I’m still here. 🤪 You’re as pretty as ever…and as, usual, your videos are always helpful. Be on the lookout for my email. It’ll be like old times. Hugs to you… 🤗🤗💕💕💕

Wow! I learned so much. I’ve been wearing wigs daily for 11 years. My bio hair is very thin. My go to wig is RW Sparkle in SS 14/88. I shake it;, spray the front with water and use my fingers to separate the fibers and spike up the front bangs and top. Today I see that I can pull out some of my own hair and use the colored powder to cover my gray like you did. I also liked the tip on powder for a part. One problem I often get which is annoying and embarrassing is my support band fails to stay in place and my wig slips back. What can I do? BTW I have wigs in my closet that I haven’t worn, because I think they look wiggy. Now With these tips, I can give them a second chance. Thank you, Frankie
@FranniesHairКүн бұрын
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! When you say 'support band', I imagine you're referring to your wig grip. A few questions: Does your wig grip have a silicon strip? Do you have a pronounced occipital bone, or is the back of your head flatter? A silicone strip can help the grip stay on better. Still if your occipital bone is not pronounced, you may have more of an issue. In that case, I'd recommend trying something like 'It Stays' (a non-toxic water soluble glue...it's easy to remove) at the hairline and nape. I've used that with no wig grip. If you sweat a lot or have oily skin, the It Stays may lose it's stickiness since it's water soluble. There are other glues or tapes that will adhere in more humid or oily conditions. I have a video about the wig grip I use: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJTCfaOKiJani5o I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.💕

Great question! In the video I did with the Envy educators, they did work on a pixie. They used the curling iron and it gave it more of a spiky look… Not really curly.
